Loot conversion is a bad idea period, it makes all content feel like its giving exactly the same rewards and devalues the items to the point where they're barely worth checking.

Just look at jewels and fractured items this league compared to others. A jewel with life and 2 good mods would have been multiple exalts last league, now a couple of chaos, unless its for a meta build, then MAYBE a div or two. Great base fractured with a usable T1 mod? 5-15c now where again they would have been multiple ex jackpots.

Because everything is dropping them the market is flooded. Great if you want them in SSF, less so if you want to find valuable loot in a trade league.

Currency especially though, values are so insanely inflated this league its impossible to save for anything "aspirational" unless you no life the game. Crafting is stupidly expensive, so most people don't bother when you can just pick a meta build and complete everything for a couple div. No reason to push hard juicing strats that require powerful characters when alch and go gives you 70% of the rewards for 10% of the work and setup.

My wealth this league is technically higher than 95% of the leagues I've participated in, but I'm not doing the content I enjoy or playing the builds I enjoy, because both are awful in the current patch. And even with that wealth, most of the aspirational goal items are still out of reach because relative to chaos, they are 5-10x more expensive this league and just continue to grow more so thanks to inflation.
