Spell Suppression and some other things

Evasion does nothing against spells.

He said he talks from a HCSSF perspective here btw.

Champion is not just fortify. Its also a lot of free AR/EV, Stun immunity and a Ton of aura effect.

Thats very good for HC. I can see how its not as impactful in SC, but he made clear where he is coming from.


And yes spell suppression is too mandatory atm and a pita to get on many builds.

Please stop comparing block with it. Its not even in the same ball park.

Max res stacking can be good but its high Investment and on HC you still want spell suppression.

I think you guys are forgetting about Recoup being on the north end of the tree as well as block chance. So there is an alternative if you combine those two instead of using only spell suppression. And the interesting thing is that it isn't impossible to get a high amount of SS, block, AND recoup on a character. I think there ARE other options to getting 100% SS all the time. Especially when you consider that Assassin has elusive and Witch has Elemental Aegis

Block and Recoup has nothing to do with Spell Supression... just stop.

Block is Avoidance. You sprinkle it in and then its good. Its not something you would ever rely on in HC, same with Elusive.

Recoup is sustain. Its also good but you still need mitigation or else you get one tapped.

Sure you can build recoup and block on top of mitigation and its good but that doesnt change that you need mitigation in the first place and thats where Spell Supression is pretty much mandatory for every good HC Build.
Only other way is very high max res but for that you would need uniques and/or clusters to get it high enough. He plays HCSSF so its nothing you would plan your build around unless you already found everything you need for it.

There are other Options in SC but not really in HC.
