" Removing a feature and gaslighting players about it fixed nothing. This has been discussed repeatedly in this thread. If there were problems (and none were alleged on either this forum or on places like reddit from users prior to GGG stating there were problems), the solution is to fix the problems or abuse cases, not to remove the feature. The sole real problem was that some people started abusing ultrawide in competitive race scenarios, and GGG decided the appropriate response was to simply remove the feature, rather than fix or address the problem properly. " oh it fixed several problems that came with the never intended aspect ratio as the game was simply not designed to actually support ultra ultra wide. Couple of people have reported issues with things not loading properly past the 21:9 vision barrier, glitched graphics, or inputs not getting recognized at a certain point of the screen. Not to mention the issues GGG had to deal with on their server side, just like they mentioned in their own post. So yes they fixed the problem by removing something that was never intended to work to begin with, and looking at PoE2 they do not have any interest to go through the headaches to implement something that benefits so little to no players. And honestly it's okay as they can put the workforce towards more important things in both games. Looking at other publisher a lot don't bother to care about 32:9, yet 21:9 a lot, so I'm not really surprised tbh. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

"Except it was discussed at various times before. You can act blind all you want, doesn't change the facts, nor does it help your narrative. https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/i7qq7n/ventrua_exploiting_ultrawide_in_china_race/ This thread was opened on August 19th, 2022. The race in question, where some of the problems with ultrawidescreen resolutions got more exposure thanks to streamers absuing it, happened in May 2020. Your statement is simply false. Debunked, next. On that note, you can kick and scream all you want - you're not getting it back. Neither PoE nor PoE 2 are designed or balanced for such resolutions. The fact that it worked before is not an argument, it was merely an oversight that GGG didn't bother fixing for nearly a decade. It is gone. Deal with it. |

You know what's not gone? This feedback thread pointing out the most objectively bad and indefensible decision GGG has ever made for their game. Removing hardware support to "fix" a niche exploit is not OK.

My dude, this thread is the actual dictionary definition of spamming, which is against the forum rules.
You need to move on. This isn't healthy. |
