can we get like a external hideout editing software while we're at it? or does it already exist?
i know that POE isnt the sims, but the built in hideout editor simply doesnt cut it. we have to have our character in the map and what we see is constrained by the character's position. we cant "move the camera" like in rts games. [Removed by Support]

" For sure. A service like that is comparable to PoB and Filterblade. Someone savvy enough just has to go through a huge effort to load all the assets into what essentially is a 3d modeller that outputs a .hideout file the game can work with. The hideout files themselves are readable so recreating the format shouldn't be that much trouble. Example: " So we have hash, x/y position, rotation, variation and whether the asset is flipped or not. Would just have to find out where to get the hashes from and create the modeller I guess. Throwing in my support here.
I didn't expect to find myself wanting to create hideouts, but it's something I've found myself enjoying recently. Pretty much everything in the OP post I agree with and would love to see in some shape or form. The biggest sticklers for me so far: - Undo/Redo would save a lot of headaches - The lack of any walls in the base set of decorations is frustrating and a large limiting factor - MTX Walls/Building Supplies being 40-60 points for a single piece is way too expensive. I'm willing to put money into the game, but am not enticed to put anything towards hideout decorations when $60 is only going to get me enough walls for one or two small rooms of a single theme - Scale and/or Z-Axis (height) freedom would open up a lot of creative possibilities |

Would be great to hear some PoE2 plans regarding hideouts, how new graphical assets are going to fit in and compatibility with PoE .hideout imports.
