[FIXED: 3.18.1.c2] Client deadlocks and very long map load times after 3.18.1c patch [id: 251,24..]
Thank you for the detailed report, we have deployed a fix for this.
If you restart your client you'll download the new patch and this should improve things for you. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3287415
Reloaded and tested going into a map and so far, its looking better. Thanks Henry!
2-3 seconds map load times are about where things were before the 3.18.1.c patch. " Another map, still looking good with 3.18.1.c-hotfix, under 3 seconds: " Yet another unpaid Path of Exile 2 Alpha Tester.

" Part of the degradation issue is somewhat improved. The map load times are down to 3-5 seconds but there is still the client freeze that happens when first engaging a map: either attacking a pack of mobs, or clicking on an interactive NPC (such as betrayal). This still needs attention. Is it too late to just fully revert what changed with the 3.18.1.c patch, and re-visit a patch next week? Yet another unpaid Path of Exile 2 Alpha Tester.

" The main issue was addressing the problem with load screens being too long. In some cases it was quite extreme, that specific problem has been fixed. However, there are still some other problems we're seeing that need to be addressed. We'll continue to work on those problem until they have been improved.
" Alright sounds good and thanks again for diving into it! If you need any additional debug data or anything, feel free to DM. Yet another unpaid Path of Exile 2 Alpha Tester.

The initial entering of a map is better, but on re-entering the map the same 6-7+ second load time still exists (along with the initial-interaction freeze). Just to see if it might help, I updated my Nvidia driver to the latest stable (516.59) and it did not improve or make the situation worse.

Fix improved extreame load time problem a bit, but entering and re-entering a map still takes much longer than before the patch ever happened. |

I observed some issues with map loading, leading to read saturation, that may be left over from debug/QA specific functions. I have DM'd Henry_GGG privately my full analysis.

My party and I still have the same problem... The more juiced the map is the longer the load times (only entering into the map).. certainly hasn't been resolved in the last patch, it only got slightly better.
