What's Next for Archnemesis Modifiers - Part 3 (and list of modifiers)

First post ever on these forums. This league is rage-inducing. Path of Exile is not supposed to be Dark Souls.

I went full defense build expecting this league to be brutal to glass cannon builds. Even doing so I am still dieing on a regular basis in white maps. Typically where I die is when I am doing the extra events, like expedition, etc. I basically get one shotted everytime.

The only way to avoid death is to literally not play anything on the maps except the mob spawns and boss. And honestly death doesn't really bother me, what does piss me off to no end is dieing and losing 5% of my experience.

My defense is 66% phys red, 84% eva, max res (except chaos), 3.2k hps, 57% spell supp chance, 53% spell dmg prevent.

Not world-changing def, but I should not be getting absolutely one-shotted on a regular basis on white maps. Challenging is not making mobs insta kill you while hardly taking any damage. That is just lazy programming.
so they did extensive testing...but now they need us to give them feedback on every single archnemesis mod and how it affects builds.

Exactly what were they testing? That the game could load?

There are THREE MONTHS OF NOTES on all these mods and the builds that they brick. Check the forum, check streamers, check reddit, check ANYWHERE that people talked about archnemesis mods. It's all ALREADY THERE. We played with these mods for an entire league already! How much more testing do you need?!

GGG simply needs to remove the XP loss. We already have "punishment" for dying as once we get into mapping you only get X chances per map before you gotta go find more and a majority of the additional content fails on death so stripping away experience is just a great way to encourage people to abandon characters completely. We probably don't need to go into the other lazy programming bit regarding the permanent penalties Kitava hits you with. PoE was the first game I ever played that punishes you more than it does reward you for beating the campaign... First time I beat the acts and saw that I almost quit right there and it only exists because at the time they were worried about resists making the game too easy in the red map range....

It is also insanely important that the developers understand that this game is not a 'reading' game. You have to have a blanket response to everything, there is no case-by-case basis here for rare monsters. there's dozens of mods that can all kill you almost instantly, if you have to be specifically looking for something to notice it happening, or read the monster's modifiers, not only will the Eye strain be insane, but nobody will want to play.

It doesn't help that the UI isn't exactly built to reduce or minimize eye strain in general. I have several buddies who just can't play because we're 40-50 yr olds who's eyes are showing that and the font is too small in the passive tree or wherever that makes it impossible for them to read longer than 2 minutes. Hell the game itself has some eye-ripping elements itself....

Agree with you man - it's not a turn-based isometric, it's a realtime ARPG. reading multiple lines of text while getting hammered by multiple dudes you gotta mouse over is a great way to not just die repeatedly for the privilege of reading flowery prose in said death screen.

I personally really enjoyed the new modifiers, crybabys got it nerfed to the ground already leaving me without much interest in the league as the sentinel thing is simply underwhelming. Was a great league for changes not so much the mechanic but now nerfed horribly because zoom zoomers cannot build defense layers to save their life.

Bro you have all of 2 characters in standard league and haven't spent a dime ever on PoE as far as I can tell.... Not sure you're one to trash talk since I'm not seeing ANY characters in the current challenge league and your standard characters look pretty aged (though congrats on their high level).
Good step in the right direction.

I love the new mods tbh and in my oppinion they can stay challanging (as long as theyre not impossible to kill).

No problem to fight certain rares for 2-4 minutes as long as it's rewarding to do so.

So please don't nerf the mods to hard but rather give us better rewards, esp for the harder mod combinations. ;)

Firstly, we have prepared a list of what all the mods actually do.

This sentence got me laughing so hard.
Shouldn't this be done on day 1 when brainstorming for new league?
So no one in the meeting was competent or courageous enough to ask basic questions?

You were just focusing on mechanics to quickly or unfairly kill off players.
Now you shot yourself so hard in the foot.

You can start posting fan art tomorrow.
I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but I'm wondering if we can get our Atlas Passive Valley of Darkness "Rare Monsters In Your Maps Have 1 Additional Modifier" to get buffed.

I play a zDPS build, and I love fighting 3+ Arch Nemesis Modifiers on monsters; especially if they're going to give better loot.

If that Atlas Passive gets buffed to always guarantee rare monsters to have 4+ AN Modifiers; then, I thank you profusely <3!

I want tougher modifiers and large packs of monsters, but I don't want to subjugate other players who don't want it.

Let the players who want the juiced up rare monsters the ability to have it with a buffed version of this passive, please and thank you ;)!
Hire some freaking testers. This non-sense has ruined the league. I took five days off work for this trash and now I don't even want to play. You cannot make currency if you have to avoid every single mechanic that spawns rares. If a map boss spawns rare monsters they are 100 times more difficult then the boss itself. This slow thought out gameplay that you guys so desire NO ONE WANTS. If I did I would go play Last Epoch they do it better than you. I play this game because I want to go fast with high mob density. Now I have to tip toe through maps because who knows when I rare I cant do damage to that will instantly one shot me is going to pop up. Get some testers stop making your player base waste their time testing non-sense that no one wants. I am glad I did not spend a dime on supporter packs this league.

Skipping the league again guys. You don't deserve players anymore.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Can I have your stuff?
