Because they changed the wording on every single node on the tree. The tree no longer states Areas contain or in Areas.

Everything is now worded Your maps contain, or in your maps.

Old Sulphite Infusion node

"White Tier Maps grant 200 additional Voltaxic Sulphite on Completion"
"Yellow Tier Maps grant 350 additional Voltaxic Sulphite on Completion"
"Red Tier Maps grant 500 additional Voltaxic Sulphite on Completion"

New Sulphite Infusion Node

It means you put in a corrupted rare map and all mods on the map get rerolled to something else, all scarabs get randomized, master missions gets randomized, map device selections are randomized.

just seems like a way to run bricked corrupted maps and use up shitty fragments.
because they will never roll the property they had before.

So putting in a corrupted ele reflect map with this node will make it roll a new map that will not contain ele reflect. etc.
First login after update. Atlas Skill tree has been wiped as expected, but my points are gone! Not expected. Not mentioned in release notes. I have to start from scratch? Why?

Update: Just did a T10 map and now have 40 points. ookaay
