To be honest, I am not sure if there is even market for it.

Have a look at Diablo Immortal evolution.
First, mobile only release.
Second, delayed because implementation of controller support.
Third, PC release with full keyboard and mouse support.
This is rather clear sign than mobile might be not best platform for ARPG with any substantial level of complexity.

Yes, there are players who want those types of games on mobile or with controller support.
There are some who will actually play it that way (but just a fraction of those in the first group).
Most people will just realize that those games are basically unplayable for them with controller or on mobile.

what you talking about?
poe mobile already is in the making. https://www.pathofexile.com/mobile

mobile market is a multi billion dollar industry.
pc gaming money is just a piece of cake compared (sadly)

your understanding of the Diablo immortal evolving bias

they announced Diablo immortal when nobody asked for it, they made it sound like we asked for a mobile diablo instead we all waited for D4 announcement.
they effed up there the first time.
then they had multiple shitstorms so to avoid another they just delayed and delayed it until the feedback for D4 updates came to the better direction.

now since Blizzard has made some research they know that their fanbase has PC and not mobiles (a little joke :)) so they want to sweet the pill and release it not only on Mobile instead also on PC as a mobile port. (anyone would have had played it on bluestacks anyway)

dont think the game will be a miss, blizzard WILL make millions of dollars with that game even tho everyone shits on it. millions of people will play it even tho they never heard of any Diablo game just because billions of phones exist and its free.

PoE mobile is a concept at this point. It wont preempt PoE2, and that's years away. Its barley worth mentioning.

Hell we havent even heard more about "Hardmode" and it's been six months since Chris voiced it into existence.

Diablo Immortal will do very well. Lots a people have interest in a version of Diablo that has the flexibility and ease of a portable / mobile device.

Consumer options and accessibility are never bad things, and its also marketing for the next Diablo iteration of the franchise (D4)

It's hard to imagine POE mobile will work well, POE requires many buttons to play and have fun, if they simplify it, it will just be another auto clicker game and honestly, this is what I am expecting it to be.
Diablo immortal is also coming to PC.

I am fully aware that PoE is in the development.
Mobile market is huge, but its huge for games like Clash Royale.
I see a lot of problems for ARPG games here.

It is great that you mentioned Bluestacks (or any other Android emulator), that's what people reviewing D:I beta were actually using to play it. But, there were issues with K+M controls. For many players, using emulator and configuring custom controls is also too much hassle.

Hopefully it will be successful, but it all depends how Microsoft will manage it.
POE mobile release ?, You will have to wait a long time.

PoE already runs just fine on Steam Deck, so there is that.

The mobile market and pc/console markets have VERY different playerbase(and that is why DI announcment was such a shitfest, as blizzcon was a pc/console crowd)

The pc/console crowd usually wants cool graphics, and complex(or at least complex-looking) gameplay, if complex gameplay cant be granted, gameplay variety works too. Things like multiplayer interaction tends to come second

The mobile crowd REALLY value multiplayer component, and they are considerable more forgiving when it comes to graphics and gameplay. As a rule, mobile games dont need a whole lot of complexity the pc/console crowd tend to have for granted, but for a mobile game to be really sucessfull, it NEEDS some form of active multiplayer

Also, the most sucessfull mobile markets tends to have a very whale-focused business model, that dont necessarialy incorporates pay-to-win, but they mobile library as a whole sure as heck embraces it. Such philosophies tend to be scorned by the pc/console corwds, who value every player is equal mentality

IMHO, DI and an eventual poe mobile would likely burn: none of those games have mobile philosophy historically. Its possible that DI could be a hit, but blizz really will need to readapt themselves for the mobile crowd, especially in the fact the mobile market is stronguer on the east while blizzard is mostly a company that makes games that pleases the western market, with starcraft being an exception(and even then, only in korea, you barely ever meet players on b.net from china or japan)
