3.17.2 Patch Notes Preview
" +2. Nothing said about the failed multythreading and the massive stuttering ppl get and cpu lag spikes. Hey at least we got more MTX-es to buy. |

You managed to make the hunger fight even worse for any builds that deal self physical damage? As if it wasn't bad enough already.
Before this nonsense, we could at least stack endurance charges and other sources of physical damage reduction to mitigate SOME of the self damage we were dealing with skills like boneshatter. Now we literally can't even do that. Do you have any idea how much it sucks to have to wait for trauma stacks to expire between attacks against the boss? What you should have done is: "Attacks from the infinite hunger now overwhelm 1% physical damage reduction and evade chance per stack" instead of causing all this headache. At this point I might as well just go insane duration shade form abuse and deal with the 40 second downtime by walking in circles. Good thing we can vendor the invitation for 1 wisdom scroll fragment I guess. Personally I'll never be playing that fight again. Just gonna pay someone to oneshot it for me if I need to do the quest one in future leagues. Last edited by Rein_Masamune on Mar 2, 2022, 4:19:26 PM

The number of Prefix and Suffix modifiers on an item is no longer preserved when rerolling modifiers using an Eldritch Chaos Orb.
solid iMprovements you have here.
" This was already fixed in 3.17.1. Code warrior

" Yup this is going to make items many times more difficult to roll because with 3 prefix/suffix locked the item is going to roll only 4 mods VERY commonly. Plus if you were rolling 2 mods because you wanted to save the last slot for a crafted mod you risk losing that slot to a garbage 6th mod. It's a colossal nerf. |

Adding my voice to archnem concerns.. Everyone I know has stopped doing it. I've stopped doing it. People in my global say after they're done with the challenges it's just too tedious and annoying.
Why is the inventory the way that it is. What does path of exile lose by giving us more spaces. This is a league mechanic and if it's too rewarding then nerf it or don't let it go core. New league mechanics should be the focus/fun part of the league, not something everyone skips. I don't know a single person who enjoys inventory management and tedium. Especially when you're bottlenecked by parts so you can't even pick up other parts that you might use in the future because of inventory space. I apologize if this post sounds angry but it's just built up frustration over playing the league. At least we have eldritch altars, which feel more like a league mechanic than the actual league.
The lack of a fix to grasping vines, performance, and inventory while simultaneously fixing things like
MTX, "Wonky" interactions...., and uniques nobody uses is just ignorant and misguided. Thanks though, I'll make sure I enjoy Archnem and eldritch crafting now that I have to gamble open crafts too. How could any of this news make a player want to continue playing? I sure am demotivated.
Doing the Archnemesis mechanic AT ALL has a negative expected value. You should NEVER be doing it unless you're completing challenges. They're not going to bother improving it because it's not going core. But because it has a negative expected value you should not be engaging with the content unless you enjoy it so it doesn't matter. You might be able to come up with a Temporal Bubble targeting only speed strategy that gives you a tiny bit of value over skipping the mechanic, but it's not worth the mental effort.
Looked at the Trial of Ascendancy point. So you get +10% spawn chance + 20% chance of an upgraded gift. If the base spawn chance is still 10% that gives you a 1/25 chance per map of an upgraded offering, with I assume is a 1/3 chance of a Gift. 1c expected value per map at the moment and you can ignore completely if it's not a Gift. Still not worth the points. Decent buff for SSF people looking for Dedications but not useful for anyone else. |
