" Damn straight. So tired of the nickel and diming that goes on with this multi-million dollar company. Most other companies seek to delight their customers and get them excited about a game launch. GGG seems to go out of their way to provide a frustrating experience. If they don't want to bring PoB in house then they should be going out of their way to provide the necessary data to the makers well in advance. If I don't feel ready to start my new character then I'm less inclined to even want to start the game. |

" Like posted on several other occasions, they don't have the capacities to support it. Always this "multimillion dollar company"-crap. Check their count of employees, wheigh that vs. the amount of changes and upgrades coming into the big updates every 3 months and especially the annual reworks and you get a small glimpse why it's just not possible. Also, why would u need it? Based on what I've seen from all your characters you're not minmaxing anything anyway, why are you so distressed about a tool which optimizes your characters if you don't do it anyway? |

Perhaps if they delivered a better service to their customers they'd earn more money which could then be applied to improving things even more? The game has been in market for more than 8 years, that's plenty of time to plan and execute this. You do realise that players use PoB for a lot more than just min/maxing? Personally I use it to plan out how I'll be progressing my character so I can prioritise my play and keep track of what I'm doing next. A lot of players also use it for that purpose. I'm not sure why you're so distressed about my characters and how I play the game? |

PoB takes all the magic and excitement about builds out of the game and replaces it with sums of points.
build discussions which used to go over whole threads are like p1: pob? p2: pastebin.com/23Ge7H p1: lol, noob, 2m dps? wtf! if people are complaining about no valid builds in existence, put yourself into the position of a guy having a great build. before PoB he would post his ideas in a reddit thread or forum post and maybe 100 people would use it after 1 week. with PoB, a shared link on a reddit post makes some thousand people use this build in 1h, boosting the demand for items through the roof, reducing the access to that build only to the items needed. why is this bad? because the more people jump on overpowered game interactions, the more likely is that ggg nerfs it. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" If you don't like it, don't use it. BTW your strawman arguments are just bad. How is having a great build bad for the person who made it? He does not have to share it, or even make it public. For those who get upset that people use their build, it's their own ego that they're stroking when they post it. If you don't want people to use it, keep it to yourself. You don't get to stand on the mountain to say "Hey look at me" and they cry about it when people start to copy your look. 2nd I really despise the "look-down your nose purist attitude" that says how other people should play and enjoy the game. You can keep what makes the game magic and exciting and apply that to yourself. You sound like a Wow developer deciding what "fun" is to other people. This game is far too complicated and has far too much information to learn for what needs to be learned without a tool like PoB. If we didn't have metrics a one-time play threw is all that would be done by many people.
