" Lol, I was just logging to post about the same. As an addendum to lime post, and particularly to all novice players (I was one myself before this league) : Elemental ailments are gonna get you killed, and past level 95 dying hurts. Any time you want to level, use Purity of Elements (or Stormshroud tech, but that's not cheap). We still have enough dps for mapping. For any novice player getting involved into the game, and interested into PoE survivability basics I can't recommend this vid enough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B4Djvi6fVA Last edited by aKrychek#1437 on Jan 24, 2023, 9:45:56 AM

" Ahhh I bought a jewel that gives me like 5x10% faster ignite and im still waering dyadawn. My ignite duration is 2.5. Should I increase that or just get a jewel with less ignite speed? Also do you have a up to date pob? Palsteron's seems to be from 3.19 and it specs into watch towers which I have anointed. |

" I've been testing with and without RoS, and there was definitely a difference in clear speed, though it isn't significant enough to cost a jewel socket. We know that EA doesn't stack more than once per shot, so the additional projectiles from this jewel won't help you get more damage or quicker fuse stacking. However, they have been great in hitting more monsters, especially since we're dumping our totems ahead of us inside packs of monsters all the time. Against bosses, these extra arrows are great for bosses which flit around a bunch (e.g. elder guardians, shaper, feared bosses) or for bosses with summons (e.g UE's null portals). Against Sanctum guards, RoS is great especially in arenas since you're carpeting the entire room and starting the fuses as soon as possible. Unless you've got jewel sockets to spare, I don't think RoS is worth. Even so, a good jewel with attack speed, burning damage, faster burns, DoT multis are likely a better candidate. Once you're reliably ignite capped, you can swap to RoS for the QoL. |

" I would echo that question. :) |

" I would follow OP's passive tree, since this is his thread. In any case, let's take this chance and look at how most people build their passive trees by analysing the heat map of Elementalists running EA on poeninja. Here we can see that there is a path that everyone takes (the backbone in red). The more common ones are yellow, then green, and finally cyan. Sorry to our colourblind friends. You can see how cluster jewels are always taken (1), along with the aura (2) and life (3) nodes. Let's look at passives that we often move away from once we're past mid-game. These are the totem wheels, and the notable one is on bottom right, which is the Watchtowers wheel that we often skip by anointing. Based on the spell suppression we have on gear, we usually cap it off by taking points in Magebane (1), Reflexes (2) for a total of 14%, and/or Quickstep (3) for a total of 13%. Elemental Mastery is useful to increase the effect of our shocks (1) with Shaper of Storms, and Profane Chemistry wheel (2) gives us our much needed %life. I'd recommend taking both of these. The highly variable region here is the Duelist Lethal Pride wheel. There is so much freedom to path around here based on the jewel you get, so there's seldom an "ideal" tree for this area. However, there are a few notables that are really worth getting: (1) Bravery for %life, % eva and armor; (2) Golem's Blood for %life, %regen; and (3) Dirty Techniques for DoT multi and faster ailments. The white rings are where Impossible Escape allows us to take passives which aren't connected to our tree. The recommended one is centered around Precise Technique (circle is marked with black arrow). With this, we can all build our passive trees based on our situation -- discard higher tier parts (like elemental mastery if we don't want to get Shaper of Storms yet), expensive parts (ignore impossible escape, lethal pride or unnatural instinct until we find a spare dollar in the couch) or spend more on suppression to cap it off if we're lacking it in gear. While a lot of us would find it comfortable to have a fixed tree to follow, I think understanding the common paths is a better way to play this. " My advice is -- stay with what you've bought, and try it out. See if it suits your playstyle, and only change it if you find that your ignites aren't proliferating, or if bosses are not taking enough damage once convergence is down.
