So no hardmode info ?:(

hard mode wouldnt be fun long term. it would be similar to ziz gauntlet with reduced loot etc. this mode would be for a small % of players. not even worth the effort of creating. there are so many better things GGG could focus their time/effort on.

He literary said there will be either testing or strait up available next league.
Sometime during 3.17 there will be something happening with it.

There's an obvious way to turn on the built-in hardmode.

Do not use keyboard. Just use the mouse.

Why ppl want this hard mode so much? Every time i see questions about hard mode, i go to achievements of this person and always this person never killed for example Maven, Shaper or Sirus. Is that new meme or something? Because if you are struggling right now then how do you see urself in harder mode? This is serious question like for real

Those fights you reference aren't even relatable tbh. I personally wouldn't mind the hard mode, I'd play it and probably enjoy it.

You've got to think of this as like "Classic WoW", there's a nostalgia hit there for folks, but also a genuine want for the difficulty and methodical slowness to return, and old PoE would absolutely deliver that. In old PoE people actually wouldn't just mow through the content. Shit was brutal, the flicker strike mobs in act 1 shipyard it was fight or die if you pulled too many, there was no running from them. The degen bears in act 2 cave where genuinely terrifying, sucking up atleast 10% hp a second, if you pulled more than two you were in for a fight. In act 3, if you buffed the up discharge sewer mobs they'd murder you.

Old PoE was slow, methodical and quite frankly brutal. As mentioned you cannot compare those fights to old PoE. PoE nowadays is designed to kill you quickly if you have a momentary lapse. Old PoE killed you if you weren't careful and alert.

Quick Edit: Anyone remember when they first introduced rogue exiles? Yikes, those guys were painful, scared the shit out of hardcore players with them being introduced to core with the amount of damage they did.

For sure. Xandro Blooddrinker was murder on caster builds, and I remember playing in party the first time we met Igna Phoenix... that was a 4-5 minute fight around the scenery and we had at least two deaths.
Now, even my mediocre builds don't notice rogues unless they have particulat MTX or an unusual number of rares gets dropped from a steamrolled pack.

HM has nothing to do with end game, it's more about journey than destination. Can I ask why you are bothered so much about people wishes to play hard mode? Like why do YOU care? Hard mode won't affect the way you play the game, so what's the deal with maven etc? "Struggling" is a strong word, you know? Some people just don't bother because we are here to have fun and fun is subjective. There is no 1 right way to play the game.
