Also, a word to the wise, we still can't really take big phys hits. Ran a T16 Port, it was all fine except for the boss (the unravelling horror bone mass thing). I was cursed with Vuln and it had Maven witnessing. The spine/needle thing it shot at me took out 5/6 of my health, and then the bleed (amped up from Vuln) finished me off super quick. I actually couldn't even get an ignite on him because it had atk/cast speed too and just annihilated me immediately. First map I had to abandon because I died twice and didn't want to lose more exp.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, what's even crazier is that I did double Guardian T16s (Hydra + Mino, Phoenix + Chimera etc.) without too much trouble.

Otherwise things are going well! I think I will want an upgrade to my weapon/chest next, but down to 2-3 Ex at the moment so I may need to farm some more $$.

Just switched over yesterday to this build from chaos animate weapon and it's nuts. If anyone could take a quick look at my gear/tree for glaring improvements/mistakes I would appreciate it so much. Would I be better off ditching the explode chest for a higher armor one without explode? Should I replace bereks with something else? Also, how can I get an additional curse so my enfeeble on hit gloves aren't overriding whatever curse we are supposed to be using? Thanks to anyone who takes time to help my noob brain since this is only my 2nd league, still learning.

I personally think that having a source of explode makes the build more fun, so I'd be thinking of that for the chest if I were you - or switch to Obliteration as a weapon.

No obvious mistakes I think, except that your Phantasmal Unearth is level 1. Do you need Deep Wisdom for something? Getting the life/skill cost nodes by Glancing Blows would be nice.

You could add Whispers of Doom as your amulet anoint, but it's probably better to just get +3 gloves without the curse on hit. You can technically get curse on hit on a hunter chest (e.g. explode/curse on hit/%of maximum life as ES), but it doesn't really seem worthwhile to me.

Polaric Devastation is a nice replacement for Berek's:


Probably your cheapest upgrade next will be to add eldritch implicits to your hat/boots/body. Stuff like +1 to a max resist on hat/body, or faster ignite on boots is very worthwhile, and cheap at the lowest levels.

Craft of Exile has the mods available at the bottom.

Edit: Oh, and you probably want Fan the Flames to go along with the explosions on the chest.

I definitely got a taste of that after hitting a Gloom Shrine from a sextant, definitely very satisfying pops and really good for rituals, etc.

With that said, I'm mostly satisfied with the clear already, even without a source of explode and using the Doryani's. I'll probably pick up a -crit dmg watcher's eye once I have the skill points to grab the socket, but otherwise I'm not sure what do go for next if my main priority is boss DPS/tankiness.

I switched in & out of explosions a couple of times earlier in the league, and I think they give you about 30% better clear speed, at least with high densities. Obviously not much use for most bosses though.

Reduced extra damage from crits on an Eye is very good, and helps with tankiness a lot. I also took the -10% enchant from boots to get closer to 100% reduction. Then I took faster ignites as a 2nd mod. Those Eyes are 5-6ex at the moment.


I'd also be thinking about quality on DPS support gems if I were you. It'll be 9-10c per gem if you just quality them yourself. After that, awakened gems will be good, or Empower/Enhance 4.

Edit: Oh, and money. I think most people doing T16s with e.g. 110 atlas points on useful passives, 4x watchstones, and 4x scarabs, are probably making at least 2ex/hour, perhaps as much as 4 or 5. But most of this money is hidden in other currency, in fragments, deli orbs, jewellers (via 6-socket items), divines, etc. Exilence Next is good for figuring out what you hold that's sellable.

Honestly, the main reason I went for explosions was for Simulacrum farming. I was consistently getting 6 reward stacks on *every* wave (previously was 5 stacks, sometimes 6) after I made the swap. It also just FELT good overall so I stuck with it.

Also, of course, good for 80% deli farming, which works well alongside simu farming (except for the annoying/boring orb buying...)

Has anyone got good ideas for 80% deli juice? I'm not sure what to run now that there's no nem3. I'm on 4x elevated sextants, one with beyond, one with deli reward bar speed. Tree is on harb/strongbox/beasts/harvest. Going Einhar missions, abyss/harb/metamorph/ambush scarabs. Then doing 6 mod beyond cemetery.

I hear people are doing influenced maps, but is that better than eldritch influence? And perhaps it's worth e.g. alch then corrupt 50 cemeteries, and just running the 8-mod beyond ones? That's starting to sound horrible to just consider buying the deli orbs.

It'd be nice to switch harvest to breach, but I'm going for 40/40 so need the patches.

Hey. I tried this build in endless heist and it was INSANE.

Right now i ripped my whole currency on div card 0-2 gamble. Left with like 20ex :D Is it viable to make this build on budget ? I would love to play TANKY AS FK build like, and it looks nice :D All aegis builds are cool with purity of elemenets :D Is CI worth only at HUGE budget or i can try straight with CI ?

Did u try wave 30 this league?
