Legendary Molten Strike Gladiator - An Era Ends with 3.16

This build lasted for roughly four and a half years and was continously maxed over the years with its all time high in the golden era patch 3.13 of Patch of Exile.
I did all and hardest content in the game with this one build: T19 100% delirious max juiced, Hall of Grandmasters, Uber Lab, Solo Delve 2k, Aul 1.2k etc.
Everything comes to an end. Patch 3.16 is the end for this build and for the Gladiator Ascendancy as a whole.

Which nerf are you referring to exactly? I can't tell yet if Gladiator is no longer playable. I don't see that yet.

But indeed, I don't understand why they nerfed him in the first place. There were other ascendancies that were equal or even stronger before the nerf.

He was popular, but it we didn't see 50% gladiator picks in the game. Neither did we see the need that one had to pick him in order to build a great character.

On the contrary, 3.15 was quite variable, so why not just make the weakest ascendancies stronger.

The nerf(s) that make this Gladiator lose roughly 50% damage from skill tree and 48% block in total (Spell+Attack). In essence only a noob would pick Gladiator in 3.16 with this level of gear cost. Its the worst Ascendancy in the game now with no identity.

You dont need to understand this if you never had a min/maxed character.

Correct, you can pretty much use tree nodes and still achieve 70+ block rate.

Thats why the edge lord plays a Slayer now and last time i checked his stream by accident he got oneshotted by white mobs.

This was my first character. Started with some other skill, stumbled into how good MS was when the friend who got us into PoE was using MS on his templar and totally wrecking shit.

Ofc that was back in Betrayal, just after MS started declining but before the nerfs to ground balls, hat balls, wep range, leech, Wildfire, etc.

Just looking at the jaw-dropping bioengineered gear you've amassed on this guy over the years is taking a while. A functional off set. Multi-legacy flasks. Just wrecks me. Those Eyes.

I'm hoping against hope some new constellation of oversights on GGG's part will allow another ascendancy to use this gear somehow, but even if that doesn't happen, you could probably make 6 or so endgame farmers from the ruins of this guy, or bankroll yourself into literally anything else you like.
