[3.19] Boneshatter Jugg - Cheap to start with room to grow. Fast mapping/Endgame boss videos

Hey dudes, I've been farming up some chaos and found a couple EX... what should I upgrade next? Here's my current gear;

Arn's is most definitely a huge DPS boost, IF you can pull it off, since you lose the tankiness from Endurance Charges.

The solution is to get a very expensive Enlighten 4 (17ex) + Determination and switch a lot of tree over to Mana Reservation.

This currently puts me at 90k armour with a GG basalt flask, which feels pretty good mapping and according to poe.ninja ranks me as the 3rd highest DPS Boneshatter:



I still need to work on a few details, like a nice Unset Shaper ring to move my Warcry there and add Precision to Enlighten, which will be even more DPS.

And there's a slight annoyance. When switching weapon, you'll lose all your auras since they all sit on that 6L, but I've already gotten used to recasting them pretty quick on switch back, so it's not a huge issue.

I'll make a post about this setup once I've worked out all the details, but again, it's expensive.

EDIT: Running some quick PoB numbers, with all the reservation nodes in tree, you can pull off an Enlighten 3 (without Precision), which is around 2ex, if you wanna give this setup a shot. The important number to hit is MINIMUM 40 mana (with all reservations active), so that cwdt + warlord's mark (lvl 1) can be cast

I made some upgrades! My tankiness did take some hits, but I can do a lot more content now, I'm still a little shaky on the conquerors, but I'm just trying to farm up more money now to upgrade my abyssus to something with more resists.

As always, I'd be happy to hear feedback on my character, because I still feel very much adrift.

Struggling is part of the game. Everyone struggles, especially when you are still relying on build guides and don't have a good enough grasp on the game to be able to tell what you should do yourself, but that IS THE GAME, my man.

First time around I quit because I just couldn't figure it out. It took me several years to go from knowing nothing, to feeling comfortable enough to write build guides, and I still struggle and don't know a lot of shit and learn new things EVERYDAY.

Believe me, you have all the information you need. What else do you need besides a character you can copy, multiple examples of gear, whole pages of me talking about how I put the build together and a PoB telling you exactly what to get?

It seems to me you want a bespoke solution, just for your toon, where you do my DPS without having to invest into expensive gear. And I understand getting Exalts can be daunting, but that's the game, and just alch & go mapping + selling everything you get + double-chaos recipe, you WILL make several Exalts per day.

So, honestly, I don't know what you want me to tell you, but the solution to everything is: "copy my toon, keep working on your character, buy better stuff".

So, before answering the question, just FYI making currency this league is one of the easiest. The amount of goodies you get just from T1 Scourged maps, low-lvl heist and low-lvl delving, is ridiculous!

Here's an example of the loot you can get from JUST ONE long delve path around depth 50:



If you want other options, there are a tons of youtube videos showing multiple methods to make currency, so I highly recommend doing some research.

Marylene's +curse I'm not seeing any for sale right now and I would not pay 10ex for one. Just grab some and corrupt them to see if you get lucky. Else just try to get +curse elsewhere, like anointing Whispers of Doom or a Warlord's chest. The main reason I use it is for the Culling Strike, which makes mapping and dealing with thick mobs like Legions much smoother. Unfortunately, there aren't many cheap/easy ways to get a reliable Cull.

Watcher's Eye with the Pride Intimidate/2xImpale is a huge DPS boost and one that is active all the time, so probably the best option.

Bottled Faith is what you will want to get for smoother endgame boss DPS, but won't make much difference mapping, as running around you won't be standing in the Consecrated Ground for long.

With lots of really complicated systems and various things that aren't documented well if at all. Really all I want is feedback on my build and how I'm doing. I don't know if I'm doing good or bad or making a complete ass of myself.

And mainly, documenting things here helps me feel like I'm helping someone who was like me, when I first started: Totally overwhelmed.

Nah, no worries, you're not bothering anyone. You're doing fine as far as I can tell, just gotta keep farming to buy the expensive goodies.

If you're struggling for DPS, then dropping Abyssus is the worst thing you can do.

If you want more defenses, that is exactly what I have been working on lately.

Look at my current 3.16 toon. I picked up Determination and switched around some nodes to become much tankier than before. I've been testing in Deli 80% and it feels amazing!

I'm still working the details, so I haven't posted an update yet, but here's a PoB of my imported toon, with the Config page setup for a 6000 damage hit and me mitigating 90% of it, which equates to more than 20 Trauma stacks (even though I'm only showing the DPS for 10):

BTW, you can manage this same setup with an Enlighten 3. Just make sure you have at least 40 mana or else Warlord's Mark won't be cast and you won't get Rage.

Thanks bro, I really appreciate the understanding, this build's only the second one after the 5th or 6th one that I've tried that has really clicked, you know?

My DPS feels pretty good right now, I can wipe out tons of trash mobs, and single dps seems pretty decent except on conqs but I'll get to them later, and I havent sold my Abyssus yet, it's still in my stash waiting to see when I can add it back in :)

I'm gonna keep farmin them sweet sweet Chaoses and keep fighting the good fight!
