Replica Bitterdream with the new shield opens up some even more interesting options.

Sacrificing quite a bit for that. No life or resists on your shield... might as well go 2H.

can u imagine the mana multiplier on ur main skill? it's effectively a 12 link, right?^^

I mean maybe it's actually good for Mana stacker Archmage :P

Sacrificing life and resists for a 12-link though. There are definitely some uses for that. And having mained various SST builds for the past 3 leagues, along with some Shield Crush during 3.15, not having life and/or res on shield is not a dealbreaker.

Also really nice for some utility/secondary skills rather than being main. 12-link Hydrosphere on an Elementalist...yikes lol.

It will be more effective with a shaper/elder 1h than bitterdream.

6 added links at level 20.

So still 12 links but good ones not level 1.

For much less than a mirror you could get an effective 9 link.



And now think about it with Mjolner, now you are triggering 6-link spell instead of 3 link?

If the trade site starts working for me I'll have a look at those - it could be very interesting indeed!

On a side note however, I have to wonder would would happen if instead of bitter dream + new shield for a 12 link, we put the new Tornado skill in for effectively 2x 11 links ... I was thinking of a freezing pulse / tornado elementalist build.

Thoughts?? or an ignite build with a replica bitterdream.

Fishing on Standard for items that effectively no longer exist isn't a great comparison. And I guarantee you that 1 mirror price is not the actual price. That's the "send me your offer so I can laugh at you" price.

Current influence items could definitely still be better in most cases though. But it also depends on what support mods you're after and for which skill, and what your budget is. Bitterdream is far from hard to come by, after all, and Replica isn't too bad either.

The key thing though is that the shield simply opens up a lot of options for a many linked 1-h skill.

The real question is:

do 1h+shield builds NEED another 6link? is everyone all of a sudden running kaoms heart?


also, i cant believe they made this, with the expected changes to sockets coming up in poe2....



it *will* be really good for someone that wants EMPOWER in their 6link. calling all summoners!
