gz on ruining another build archetype.

How to kill another aspect of endgame and stomp a 10+ mir build into history.

I played this build for 5 leagues now, improving it bit by bit every league.
About 15-20 mirrors of stuff, soon to be obsolete.

Aura effect gone from clusters, clusters unuseable.
i'd need 588% increased reservation efficiency on my gear to run all my 16 auras, which is impossible with 2% on jewels.

this leaves a bad taste in my mouth, you disregard the time i spent on this build in one single patch because reddit crybabies are complaining about party play. again and again you kill things in collateral from multiple angles.

the solution was so simple, lowering aura effect on others and leaving reservation alone as it impacts other builds aswell. now you probably ruined a bunch of builds with those changes, not just aurabots and stacking.

we'll wait and see how it plays out. If 3.16 is not the ultimate bomb league mechanic to make up for this loss, i will quit this game

The balance team and chris being out of touch with their game isn't the only reason why this game is going downhill.
The community is more toxic than ever, more so than the community of eve online. Alot of people i play with in standard are chill, but this? I can't imagine what goes through your head that you gain joy from sending me those pms, does it make you feel powerful or that you received some kind of twisted justice? Does it statisfy your jealousy?

Hahahaha

.....we are toxic because they are ruining the game....is that so hard to understand

To who, exactly, are 'they' ruining the game? I can guarantee that if you were to be invited to join a party with a 30+ mirrors aurabot, you would. 'They' are only ruining the game because YOU arent playing at the same level. This level of selfishness is absolutely mind-blowing. Congratulations. It needs a lot of stupidity to celebrate the fact that someone else is enjoying less of the game. Just because you aren't able to build a multi-mirror aurabot, doesn't mean that others should`nt be able to do so. It baffles me to think that there's people with that much of their brain missing and still able to breathe.

The Efficiency Formula is: 100 / (100 + X), where X is the sum of efficiencies.

This can confirmed using GGG's examples:

100% increased efficiency results in a .5 multiplier
100 / (100 + 100) = 100 / 200 = .5, which halves the cost of all reservations; so can run four 50% auras

50% increased efficiency results in a .67 multiplier
100 / (100 + 50) = 100 / 150 = .666...repeating, which reduces the cost of all reservations by 1/3; so can run three 50% aura's, assuming GGG doesn't screw up the rounding; if .66 is rounded up to .67: 50 x .67 = 33.5, times 3 would be 100.5 which would prevent you from turning on the third 50% aura that GGG stated you could run

So with this, if Essence Worm has 80% reduced efficiency:
100 / (100 - 80) = 100 / 20 = 5, which is 5 multiplier, 5 times the mana reservation cost, which means without any efficiency investment you are not running a second aura, barring 10%:
A 10% aura costs 50%
A 25% aura costs 125%, i.e. greater than 100% you cannot run it
A 35% aura costs 175%, cannot run it
A 50% aura costs 250%, cannot run it

Essence Worm got nerfed hard.

That formula works for positive efficiency, but does not work well with reduced efficiency. Since if you would end up with division by 0 in your formula, if you had 100% reduced efficiency and the Internet would implode.

If you look at their statement:
"
Reservation Efficiency works by dividing the cost of the Reservation Effect: 100% increased Reservation Efficiency would halve the cost of all Auras.

Then you would instead assume that with reduced efficiency you would instead multiply the cost in the same way. I.e 100% decreased Reservation Efficiency would double the cost of all Auras. Meaning that the previous statement of 80% reduced efficiency resulting in a 1.8 multiplier is more likely.

Resulting in
A 10% aura costs 18%
A 25% aura costs 45%
A 35% aura costs 63%
A 50% aura costs 90%

This is all speculations and we will just have to wait and see at the correct results.
You allow people to invest hundreds of hours into builds then expect them to just smile and keep on playing when you nerf those builds into junk.

This does not seem like a good business model to me.

Goodbye.
Bring back clusters with fire dot multi..

the sad part is this shows how the community filled with jealousy

i hate aurabots/aurastackers btw i dont play them but i dont care about other players if they having fun with their builds

this the first time i see community requesting a nerf and the reason imo is completely jealousy

oh that guy better then me please ggg nerf him :D

what a dumb mindset

It is an interesting case study in human behavior. The lack of empathy is rather striking. I don't own any of these aura-builds, and they did need some adjustment. But the pure sadism on display - with people taking open glee in other's pain - is surprising.

It's the same thing you see in the media and social media every day, the people who don't have success pointing at someone who does and saying "he/she/they shouldn't have that".

Its easier for the ego to say the reason you dont have success and the other person does is "it was unfair" rather than "I just didnt work as hard as they did".

This feels like a total slaughter, since Heist league i have consistently created a cursebot and would consider myself reasonably knowledgable on it.

Cursebots need a lot of investment to feel really good and you have to be activly cautious while playing them because you need to be the frontrunner in the group but never be to far ahead unless you want to die a swift death.

Please GGG reconsider these changes will buff the strongest Cursebots that will still just get a x6 Curse Effect on Despair while hurting the more generalized and more accessible Cursebots a lot, as big enthusiast of Cursebots this hurts and will make teamplay just less fun.

I was dead set on playing your 'walking Cursebot' next league, because leading parties through maps was the most fun I have had while playing POE, and Cursebots function as the natural group leader. Playing with a Cursebot friend was so much fun, I loved the way he lit up all the mobs and we just cut through them like butter. Please do an updated guide if they're still viable somehow.

I don't understand solo players' desire to nerf an aspect of the game they don't even engage in. I prefer playing in parties, it showcases other builds and creates lasting friendships. The nerfs feel akin to removing tanks and healers from an MMO, because they're too 'OP'. I could understand a bit of re-tuning, but these changes totally gimp supports classes into the ground. I am coping, seething, and cringing both internally and externally, in real life.

Problem: Aurastackers, Aurabots, Cursebots

Solution: Nerf them to the point of where it is painful to try and get going

Results:

1. Inspirational builds now removed from the game.
2. The people who play Aurastacker take a while to get their gear and are likely to play the game for more than 2 months. Lets f them up shall we??
3. TFT carry service providers numbers reduced by 50% since most of them are stackers. Oh yeah reddit now need to pay more to get carried. Get fcked Reddit!
4. Alternate way of playing POE, Gone!
5. Players who print the exalts which fund and run the economy, Gone...
6. Guilds? Broken...
7. 200c per ex next league? Lets go!!!
8. META way to play with friends, clean headshot!

Concusion, GGG has decided to remove a method of fun from the top brass of the playerbase. Will they play the next leauge? who knows. is the remaining 99% of players going to have a harder time bring the economy up to speed? Yes, very much so. Honestly, I'd like to see how a machine runs without the most important Gears. GG GGG

Economy and trade is the first reason that i only play SSF... They are at last removing a mechanic that has been abused for years and only benefit 0.0001% of the player base. Adios Aurastackers, you won't be missed...
Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic...
will standard gear go legacy? or is it time to quit the game and claim my refund for ggg ruining my 20 mirror build that i spent over 2 years making?
So on top of the damage nerfs we just got, now it is nerfs to auras, nerfs to curses, and nerfs to dots. And we got nothing new for defenses despite Chris endlessly talking about how bad of a state most defenses are in. I guess block builds are the new thing the community can rise up and demand the death of next now that aurastackers are dead.

I am begging you to explain it to me. You mean people made bands and had fun together. This is the scary and bad mechanic? So hated by solo players?
