Guys heres little guide for win:

Dark hideout is necessary, light effects do great work.

Flat hideouts like nebula or abyss would make work much easier

Put as many mtx as you can(it doesn't matter they dont fit to your theme)

They like to click Z and see wall of text so put many decorations.

Dont force you to create something new (they like nebula with mechanism, symmetrical hideouts, dark red theme etc)

Its not hideout competition is about to do pretty location so put masters somewhere on map or cover they with rock.

So next time just make one hideout and change your nick fork SolPoe or Synopsis (you guys do great work not sacrasm here)

I'm starting to find the similarities of these contests to a beauty contest, where not the best wins, but who pays the most.

It's just a top 1 ho, if I have resources (favore points), then I will copy this shelter in an hour after looking at it just once. Just water on the floor, seaweed, stones, lotuses. And it's all. This is not a Hideout, it's just a piece of the location with a nautical theme.
There is no history in this location.

It's just a disappointing to put your soul into a project, even to be highlighted, and then to be throwned out, because they gave priority to those who laid the bank card to the monitor or simply threw symmetrical pipes, passing it off as a miracle of technology.

Very disappointing.

I agree 100%. Filling a pre existing hideout is not difficult. Its just pick a theme, flowers, rocks, blue, green or red and start filling. Just keep doing it until you make 750 items and profit?

Those who actually have complete open barren maps, make walls, add lighting, add basically Everything to there hideouts and I see very very few of those here.

A huge let down and very disappointing as well. (Coming from someone who made a complete unique map filled up to 750 extremely carefully placed items with a valid theme.
Congratulation to all winners, and participant alike.
Advice to all that did not made it to the top, day 1 of the announcement is bad choice for criticism, but a great day to enjoy and appreciate others work, and to start learning.

For the use of MTX, I'm of the opinion that people work for them, they support a Game, and why one should not use it,

Better luck to all next time ( I hope we get another chance soon).

Look i understand people frustration , i didn't really expected my hideouts to be in top 3 at all , i was hopeing for 6th-20th with Azuretech , i made the berserk themed hideout for fun in the first place and becouse i love this theme , i know some people bored of it or hate it , i get it , but for me dark and techolgy hideouts with symmetrical base's comes natural and this click with some people and won't with others , everyone has different tastes. Last year i end up as 7th on the list and yes it was also a hellish hideout but its was mtx free. but i made 7 that time , this year i made 5 and eneterd with 3 and this time i did use mtx , why becouse why not back than i opened alot boxes for armors and wings meanwhile getting a few hideouts decors and most of the time they just sit in my tabs and not in use at all becouse people dont like pay for them and i totaly get it and aggree with this hideouts that are 100% mtx free should spearated from mtx ones and judged by that in mind.

Derrok didn't even post this year , i was shocked by Leshor not even make it in the list , and there where many hideouts that i liked even more than my creations , Ye Ol' Tavern , Kalguuran Hall , Lotus Garden , Tesla Tower and your Frostpunk hideout too.

How GGG judge these hideouts , no idea , when it comes to real level design things are getting alot more complicated than this , i strated study it in unreal engine from "Blocking out" to placeing every small detail and things getting messy there and in there i build very differendly since i more prefer fps perspektiv but i give up on 3D since it very expenive tech wise and im now back on 2d pixel art and illustrations but this is another topic. In Poe i build most of the time in symmetrical and center oriental for a few reasons the Isometric view only really can showcase well in sreen center upper corner middle and left and right upper corner in some senarios down right and left corner depends how tall the objects are , the symmetry is attracts the eye and it can effekt appeling effekt on the viewer and we can cerate new formations with the same objects, ofcourse this is not for everyone some people more like chaos and twists like how nature shapeing the world , some people perfer minimal clean , and some people like oder and realism easly readable places a house inner or compelexity of a town becouse they have more chill vibes and people more relateable to this things they can imagine them self in this places easly and also most of them give a comfy feeling.

But don't worry next year if i come for the comp again i won't build hellsih landscape i propably try somthing else i already have a few plans , but i might won't even show up :D

My favorites are Sunken Lair of Arakaali and Kalguuran Hall.
Wish they post the templates on hideoutshowcase.com

I 100% second that, with all respect to the winners my problem is with ggg choices not winners work, for example in a competition like this why would someone win 2 spots instead of someone else get an opportunity, also one of the winners has really little work just base lab hideout and slapped lab decos no environmental deformation or any special work, also why 2 gore demonic theme hideouts that look 95% the same???
Seriously what's the rules?? Go with your gut?? I waited every second till the announcement and I got nothing but headache.

on day 2 there were 17 pages of submissions, with it taking weeks to double that, meaning there were a lot of Hideouts that were made in previous months but unreleased, then all dumped after the competition announcement (also, while some might play standard, most hideouts logically would have the new masters if the hideout is meant and tested for actual use and not just an artpiece).

The "made after announcement" rule can't really be enforced, but it creates a really bad environment of "droughts" of Hideout releases before competitions, followed by a flood of hideouts on hideoutshowcase after, all competing for attention in a very short timeframe.
