using a single shot bleed bow, I spawned all the flood orbs (without ever touching them after spawn) got the boss to ~5%, then gathered all the orbs together with him, waited for voltage surge, popped a snipe into him, made sure it was on him only. Boss died, challenge failed. So this is still bugged. confirmed that the southbound bug has been fixed without mentioned in patch notes explicitly. it was not possible before. i dont like these "without killing" things. but it's ok as i am happy to have the cool portal reward as my retirement fund. This challenge is absolutely horrible. I rely on totems and cannot do any damage myself - so trying to only do single target damage is impossible. And you can't lure him away - it just won't spawn orbs anymore.	Posted by dustofdeath#7022 on Aug 27, 2021, 6:47:49 PM Quote this Post
Very irritating that he wont spawn orbs away from the center of dock (might get one or two.) So you are forced to slap the boss with your pinkie in the direct center of the area with 0 aoe or you are guaranteed to fail. Stupid challenge. This challenge is still bugged? I just killed the boss with literally 20+ orbs ... i was using southbound to avoid killing the orbs by accident, then i single targeted the boss with all orbs around and nope, nada ... boss died, challenge failed, orbs still alive lel.
