But not to be entirely passive aggressive; I'm not surprised that the gem is bad. It looked bad in the trailer too.

Looks cool and has a somehow good cooldown nuke but anything else is underwhelming for an uber-minion. Sadly novelty garbage in the current state.

Maybe some hotfixes to dash-cooldown or base damage may change something but i dont think it will meet its initial expectation ever for what it was teased.

Feels good in early progression tho, so lots of people will get jebaited if this is their league starter, thinking they could do endgame (T16+ farm and a8 sirus rotations).

Or maybe this is the entire point of this gem? A league starter ,similar as RF, till white or yellow maps and then get replaced with spectres or uber-skeletons ;)

Now when the gems are updated in PoB it's clear that Reaper best case 2x damage than one Carrion Golem with 1/3 of his life. Just, you can have many golems + spectres at the same time...

Such a scam honestly. I don't know how else to look at it. And explanations like today about "yeah we nerfed mana too hard" are so either completely dishonest or stupid. I have no other words to use.

Its a single entity minion that cant be used well with other minions ... in a game where the strongest perks to minion builds is:

that they scale their damage with multiple entities and can be used with other minion types synergistically.

The reaper doing neither inherently meant only two realities (one far far FAR more likely to anyone with any exp in poe)

EITHER the reaper is better than the most optimal other summoner combinations, and is therefore better than multiple other gems being used together at once .. and by extension hilariously overpowered.

OR it is not and people will use to get to maps as novelty and then switch back to spectres +golems/zombies/skeletons because those builds have literally an order of magnitude more potential everything (clear dps protection for the summoner etc...)


And worse still its a fucking melee minion. a single entity with inherently bad coverage.

terrible. novel, cool looking .. but terrible.

it needs multiple level thresholds where it literally gets 100% more damage to make up for its lack of additional entities and coverage. the gem has no good scaling.
