When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Meanwhile in Australia it's a brisk 16 degrees and we're all cozy in our Delta lockdown with our Uniqlo thermals.

Hottest I've seen it here, ever, was 50. And that was wet heat too, which makes it far, far worse. 40 in dry heat (eg middle of the country) was far more tolerable to me, albeit dangerously so. Easier to forget to hydrate when you arent sweating buckets...

https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

Even worse if some wind is involved. People often underestimate how easy it is to get a sunburn, and a nasty one at that.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

My advice to desert newbies would be: the nose knows. Low humidity means mucous will dry out. When you're feeling a base urge to pick your nose, blow your nose instead and have a rehydration break simultaneously — if it was enough to dry you out nasally, then it's enough to dry the rest of you out too. If necessary due to relative lack of lung power (I'm a smoker after all), one can always sniff water as they would a finely ground drug powder beforehand — gonna be near a water source for the drink anyway.

44F is pretty low, 44C is hot. (And US use F.....)

BTW, it is freezing at the morning in WA (Australia, not US), and then raining a few days and then sunny .....(And then gov is panic to lock the whole city down with single case of Delta variant community transmission)
