Game Mechanics Q&A Answers Part 2

I wonder how many calculations are performed as my frostblades guy chews through an 8th wave ultimatum along with 4 Heralds of Purity, vaal AW, AP, Hatred and a Stone gollum?

Yes, but it will accumulate low(ish) values of equity, so it will require a large amount of Map Drops (which could just be upgraded using the 3:1 recipe).

Eh... if you pool via map drop equity, you're gonna get one map you can definitely use.

If you pool via letting the maps drop naturally & relying on the 3-to-1 exchange, then you're highly unlikely to get exactly three of each specific map variety to use for the upgrade.

So... all hail map drop equity.

Y'all need to change it to being "any three maps of that tier", or "any three maps in that zone" to actually come closer to being comparable.

The disconnect between needing specific individual maps (maven witness, bonus unlocking) and any map of that zone/tier (conquerors, map drops) has really been showing this league.

How does Inquisitor's "Pious Path" passive skill work with Keystone "Zealot's Oath" In terms of Life/ES regeneration?

They are incompatible. Zealot's Oath makes Life Regeneration apply as Energy Shield Regeneration instead - since it is no longer Life Regeneration, effects that interact specifically with Life Regeneration, including the one on Pious Path, have no effect.

This is either a bug or wrong

You have no Life Regeneration

From the item Skyforth Sorcerer Boots makes you unable to regen ES if you have Zealot's Oath.

This interacts specifically with Life Regenertion however it affects Energy Shield regeneration as well.
This is when you need to answer questions like those that you may ask yourself about the accessibility of your game to new players...

I have no clue of how map equity works, all i see it that even when my atlas can drop a t14+ map with 100+ completion, i frequently end up with no map drop from running 30+ T12 - T13...

You map loot system is broken and needs to be changed to something better...
As a side note, Zana's reset is also broken... Last time i used that method, she offered me only T5 - T8 maps (4 times in a row) while i was running T13's...

You seem confident with no evidence.

I'm not confident that streamer RNG does not exist. I am confident that no credible evidence of streamer RNG has been found. If it had, the community would be in complete uproar. Anecdotes are all people have when trying to argue the existence of streamer RNG.

There is a difference between healthy skepticism ("The possibility of streamer RNG exists; therefore, we should should not discount credible evidence if it presents itself") and conspiracy-seeking ("The possibility of streamer RNG exists; therefore, it must be happening, regardless of a lack of evidence").

3.14 is not the first league where streamers appear to have less crashes/queues.

This is entirely unrelated to streamer priority arguments. PoE's spectrum of performance is a complete mess. Many people with high-end PCs have dreadful performance and frequent crashes. Many people with low-end or mid-range PCs have great performance and very few crashes.

Quite a few streamers are concerned about what other behind the scenes manipulation GGG is capable of at the individual account level. Raiz in particular said he would probably quit if he found out his RNG was being manipulated because he was a streamer.

This is pure worrymongering. GGG is capable of any number of things in PoE because they made the game. They're undoubtedly capable of specifically targeting your account and giving you worse RNG than everyone else. Why would they do that? It doesn't benefit them at all.

The argument then becomes, "how would it benefit GGG to give streamers better RNG than other players?" The obvious answer is that it would make viewers of those streams think, "Wow, I could find this lucky drop too! I should play more PoE!" Thus, more players would be attracted. The problem is that some people stop their critical inquiry at this point, concluding that it could only ever benefit GGG without considering other ramifications, namely:
- The impact that poor RNG for non-streamers could have on overall player retention (and thus on store purchases)
- The negative press that would result from a chain reaction of streamers quitting PoE if such RNG manipulation were uncovered
- The irreversible brand damage that would result from such negative press

Were you confident there was no queue skipping for streamers before they were caught?
Did they tell us there was queue skipping before they were caught?

Are you confident if there was streamer loot increases they would tell you before they were caught?

They were never hiding it. They were literally telling people to re-queue in their streams.
Also it really shouldn't matter anyway, they paid for advertisement and because of unforeseen issues they attempted to band-aid fix so they didn't lose ALL of their money on the sponsorships.
Your value as a player is not equal with content creators, it has ALWAYS been like this and this whole idea that GGG owes everyone who touches their game some weird "equality" is fucking psychopathic.

Are you max qual, alch and corrupting your red maps? Alch yellow maps etc for sustain, it's incredibly easy.
Still dont understand map equity and how to profit from this.

This one's an interesting conundrum, but it could technically still be consistent with the dev response in one of those nitpicky careful word choice situations, because "effects that interact specifically with Life Regeneration" may or may not include effects that negate Life Regeneration, such as the mod on Skyforth.
