Oh, of course.

Because I don't have a competitive bone in my body, because I simply don't get any enjoyment whatsoever out of being up against a clock, because I therefore don't take part in races (but really enjoy watching and following them); it is not possible for me to encounter desync and I have no grounds at all to give (asked for) feedback about desync in the beta.

How silly of me to overlook that.

The point is most people that respond to an announcement thread with a 1 liner about desync have no race experience. If it was that krippling to the game, and hardcore, then competitive and noncompetitive people would "QQ". The people that complain about desync are the kind of people that would just use any excuse why they cant play hardcore. "If I can't win first place then I'm not going to compete and give the best excuse possible why its not fair." If the same people can get to lv90 in hardcore and win races than the desync issue is personal. I find desync to be soft, avoidable, and a non issue.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
GGG plz fix desync that is not here and that is players fault (obviously). Plz.

I have to be honest, I have a lot of characters with different builds I am trying out. None of them in the high level brackets as I am more of a tinker than a competitor. But I have not experienced any dsync issues... and I play a lot of melee based builds.

Maybe this is more an issue in the later stages of the game when people are going maps or something?

Races have absolutely nothing to do with desync.

It's no accident most people play ranged in HC that is affected a lot less by the deadly kind of desync.

I complain about desync since it makes my playing a lousy experience, and I play hardcore. I also play melee which probably means I have around 10x more experience on desyncs than people who play only ranged.

Back to earlier, it's no accident that the ladder top is mostly inhabited by ranged players who are a lot less affected by the "stick to monster on server while on your screen it's in front of you" kind of desync.

"

I find desync to be soft,

What the hell does that even mean?

"
avoidable

Let me guess, you play a character that never needs to target monsters, FP or totems?

"
, and a non issue.

If it doesn't happen to you, of course it's a non-issue to you. That doesn't mean it's not affecting other players.

Well, you appear to be generalizing as far as 'most people' goes.
You appear to be confusing feedback with QQ and again generalizing.
You also appear to be of the stance 'if it doesn't happen to me, it doesn't happen', lacking in empathy if nothing more. Fact is, desync affects people in different ways, there are many factors, of which only one is down to the player.

You might want to note, also, constructive feedback can easily be aggravated into vitriol by people such as yourself challenging such feedback.

Sure, there are some people that will just QQ with malice about anything and everything. That in no way invalidates the constructive feedback about desync, it no way removes the occurance of desync, it no way lessens the problem.
Casually casual.

I honestly have no idea how you manage to play like that, it's a miracle or you're a god among men.

How do you play?

It's an issue with any place with both
1) narrow corridors or doorways
2) monsters that occasionally run back and not only forth

Most often it happens when you stick attack a monster and on your client it stays there being hit while on server it runs back to mama or just runs around frantically in general. (snakes and many 'group' monsters that run back if they get too far from their herd)

It happens A Lot in cases where you combine narrow chokepoints and a lot of mobile monsters. Suddenly you rubberband into the room you never wanted to be in the first place since on server you stuck to some monster that on your screen was nicely in front of you.

Try ranged.

Hmm, I'd beg to differ, there.

The server can sync/port a ranged character 3 rooms ahead should they happen to 'lock-target' range attack a desynced mob without attack in place modifier.
Casually casual.

Start at page 1, check for 1 line posts about fixing desync, try to find 1 with race experience, get back to me.
