Upcoming Video Memory Utilisation Improvements

Maybe the game with finally stop unloading textures for things I use all the time? Seriously every time I enter a new map and press witchfire brew its aura effect is pixelated. Abilities your character uses shouldn't be unloaded in a game session, ever. Same with things like your passive tree.

Also, did you fix the invisible Sirus maze already?
Maybe the game reduces the amount of stuff it has to draw? Like effects and particles?
You guys should just really focus on integrating Vulkan API best as possible.

There's little reason to keep working with DX11 as Vulkan gives far more advantages with more toys to code into your grame. If this was DX12. Sure maybe, whatever but DX11 is clearly inferior.

However, what do you display when a texture is not yet loaded? In order to not display an entirely black texture, we added a technique called texture streaming where we have the lowest mip levels (i.e. low-detail versions) of each texture always in memory so that we can display something approximately correct more quickly. This is more desirable than the alternatives of having significant frame rate drops or nothing drawn at all. While texture streaming is a harmless visual optimisation, it is often incorrectly attributed to problems that are actually to do with the fact that the game unloaded an asset that it really shouldn't have.

Lol, the texture should already be preloaded.. for that zone/area. Most game engines do this. And have been doing this for decades. Texture streaming is the worst idea imaginable.. unless you want hiccups/stuttering gameplay

Also, this wasn't an issue with PoE before. Who's making these decisions?

but that's like... a total of....... 1h action time and 10% of my nerves saved in a day........

yes, it.do!

P.S. here's a code to merge - IF instance crashes THEN return itemOfInstance(currentPlayer,inventory);

Ye feels pretty retarded playing this with ryzen 5900, rtx 3080, 7k mb/s nvme ssd drive, 64gb ddr4 ram system on 500mb/s fibre internet and running it like absolute shit.

400% XBOX improvements. And a modern engine!

Will these fixes have any impact on the game having absolutely abysmal performance in borderless windowed mode since 3.13?

While we don't know who's having these ideas, there is only one person in GGG who has the authority to be making these decisions.
Anyone else have a REALLY bad feeling about this new change?

How do we know that this is really tested and it's not going to mess up players GPU in the long process?

I have to doubt when it comes to performance changes you do in this game.. it's really weird that I get no confidence from words from the top dev of the game.
Don't be a poe stan. Use your fucking brain.
