[3.14] Perry's Unleash Exsanguinate (Phys DOT Trickster)
" Someone else will have to speak to the spellslinger setup. I stuck with Caustic Arrow and Toxic Rain until I got to Act 4 and picked up Chain (G) and Unleash (B) and went directly to self casting Exsanguinate. When you only have 4Links these will be your gem links. Note you can't get Brutality until Act 6. Exsanguinate (R) Efficacy Support (B) Chain Support (G) Brutality Support (R)/Controlled Destruction (B) pre Act 6 if you have a blue socket since you can't buy Brutality support until act 6 as a Trickster. Corrupted Fever (R) Swift Affliction (G) Brutality (R) (just use as a 3L until you get Brutality in Act 6) Efficacy (B) Last edited by cirerrek#0071 on Jul 8, 2021, 2:54:37 AM

" You are welcome Sootz. I hope you enjoy the build as much as I have. Oh, for bossing swap out Chain (G) for Swift Affliction (G) in your Exsanguinate links. |

In progress helmet craft Acquire an i85 Elder influence hubris circlet for the synnergy with Escape Artist. There are a couple of ways of going about reasonably reliably hitting Nearby Enemies take #% increased Physical Damage, an Elder Suffix Harvest -Reforge a Rare item with new random modifiers, including a Physical modifier -Reforge a Rare item with new random modifiers, including a Physical modifier. Physical modifiers are more common Fossil -Fossil Craft with Jagged Fossils I had the most reliable success with Jagged Fossils and according to Craft of Exile you should hit it in about 9 tries. So that wasn't the hard part. Because I also had a Maven Orb from my one Maven fight of the league. So I decided what I needed was 2 good suffixes, one of them being Nearby Enemies take #% increased Physical Damage And one Elder prefix. So when I Maven Orbed the result I would HOPEFULLY end up with Nearby Enemies take 12% increased Physical Damage, which is the elevated version of the mod. 100 and change fossils into the crafting process (I hadn't quite worked out what I was looking for, so I am sure I made some mistakes that could probably have resulted in using fewer fossils) I hit T1 life regen and Nearby Enemies take 9% increased Physical Damage and one Elder prefix. Whoot! Took the 50/50 gamble and got the elevated 12% increased Physical Damage, leaving me one open suffix on which to craft 25% Chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments so I could stay Ailment immune. Next step is to find harvest and find a Reforge Prefixes, Keeping Suffixes until I hit something good. GG tier would be something like (50–61) to maximum Energy Shield (92–100)% increased Energy Shield (90–99) to maximum Life I have seen and used a couple of Reforge Prefixes, Keeping Suffixes Reforge Suffixes, Keeping Prefixes (I need one of these for a shot at replacing my amulet with with some more useful stats) But they are rare I'll update if I finish the craft to my satisfaction. There are quite a few suffixes I would rather have hit than life regeneration, such as a high INT roll, or a high Fire, Cold, Lightning, Chaos resistance roll, but RNG is going to RNG. so I'll have to make that up somewhere else in the build. If I can get a Pride has 15% reduced mana reservation or Herald of Purity has 30% reduced mana reservation enchant, I'll finally be able to work in Aspect of the Crab to the build at least once I find a slot where I can free up a suffix. I have a bunch of Twice Enchanted and a couple of Gifts from the Goddess, which should give me around 18 tries at the fountain assuming Uber Izaro doesn't swat me like a bug. Chase item upgrade given the cost (3-5 exalts at the time of this post). Optionally buy up all the non corrupted ones you can find and try to corrupt them to hit the % increased damage over time implicit. You can color, link, and add and remove sockets on a corrupted item via the crafting bench. It will simply cost some Vaal orbs in addition to the normal currency. |

So I tried doing my own templar staff/block based build of this, managed to get to red maps but really wasn't great. Had a random trickster I leveled so switched and loving this version, only 93 but still feel pretty strong.
Questions - You mention in the A8 Sirus video not having a vulnerability ring, but the POB has it (and I've been using one myself and feel like it's helpful, I'm bad at cursing manually). Also in that video you have a way of getting fortify that I didn't follow (and don't see in the POB) just curious about that. Finally, sorry if I missed the explanation, but why the armor based helmet, as opposed to evasion/ES? Just because you're SSF? I happen to also be using one (because my other characters were armor based and had one with great life/resist). Not sure the 4% or so physical reduction gets me much? Anyhow, really dig it, depending on nerfs I might try league starting it. thanks! |

" I planned to have one in POB, but for that video, I didn't own a ring with Vuln on hit. " When possible, I often include a swap to Vigilant Strike for single target. This is what I did -- for Sirus, I went 2x Cold Iron Point, and because I lost the durability of a shield, I kept up fortify. In my case, the shield I was using was Mistwall, which isn't too helpful against Sirus in the first case. " Yup. " Build was very enjoyable for me, and I've heard others enjoy it too. The scion version is more popular, but it's just preference on defenses. I'm surprised not more people have tried tricker. Having Block + Dodge makes for a really comfy mapping experience, which I like having in my builds. |

" Thanks for the answers. I like the vigilant strike idea, gonna give that a try too. Yeah, my templar had decent armor and max block (with glancing blows) and felt way, way squishier. Obviously playing with some decent gear (though still lots of room for improvement), and being a little cautious while trying to level up a bit, but feels pretty smooth. thanks again! |

Thank you for the guide, I was really looking forward to league starting this build. Any ideas how this should perform now in 3.15 with all the changes?

I was wondering the same thing :)
