Immortal Ambition prevents energy shield recovery from Pious Path

Immortal Ambition now prevents Pious Path's energy shield recovery from life regeneration to apply. Tested this interaction with both Soul Tether and Glorious Vanity.

Ah, I was under the impression that this was a unintended side-effect of the recent changes to Immortal Ambition, as IA did not prevent the Energy Shield Recovery from Pious Path throughout the entirety of the Ritual League. Previously, it seemed that the Energy Shield Recovery was treated as a generic Recovery effect, considered neither ES Recharge or ES Regeneration, which looked to be in line with the descriptions on the Keystone and Ascendancy Passive.

Since the words do not exclude each other there is hope that it's a bug and will be fixed. This combination was build-defining for some characters so I'd really like it to be as it was before the 3.14 expansion. Since life regeneration causes you and allies to recover energy shield and you can't regenerate and recharge energy shield then you still should be able to recover it, right? Leech is a form of recovery too and Immortal Ambition doesn't block it. So recovery should be fine.

To be honestly I don't see why you'd use Immortal Ambition ever now, unless purely for overleech on non-ES utilizing life build? The benefit is that you get Overleech but your ES recovery is pretty much gutted. The change basically makes it so your leech will recover 10% of max ES/s, with the 5% degen it's 5% ES/s and only when your HP is full.
You're much better off going for Corrupted Soul and getting ES leech from somewhere.

IA just extended your overleech on ES. It was like more Life and thus one of the best Survival-Strategies...

Wording does specify "Recover" where as Immortal Ambition specifies "Recharge and Regeneration", I'll pass this on.

Is there any update on this?

I stopped playing POE... beacuase it stopped making fun...

because of such changes...
my last build was killed by changes to ascendency...
now this vanity-feature/-bug kills my charakter...

it is not trustworthy enough to spend so much time in a frustrating result...

Bugs and rebalancing is OK. But the impacts for exitsing Builds are often too bad...

sorry for complaining... but in fact I did stop playing now... =(...
and perhaps this is a appreciated feedback...
