20 Users Banned for Exploit Abuse

all fine guys, just continue currency trading with bots ^^.
you know the typical bot accounts which have 9999 chaos and you can swap to any currency you like if you accept their exchange ratio.

nothing wrong here, continue on and be happy you can play ^^

I'm more curious is that ultimatum league idea is come from Chris itself ?So when someone abuse the game mechanic which is supposedly test it before launch to prevent any player take advantage of it .So my question is ,is that Chris the one mentioned no problem can launch go ahead. And then someone found the broken mechanic to abuse then he rage(face get slapped by ownself) and ban ?Sorry for my rip english .please correct my words if I type wrong .
I can't understand why this doesn't solicit a perma ban. The only thing I can come up with is that exploiting is a grey area and GGG is aware that it is.
What was the "exploit" ?
a streamer and friends find and report an exploit. then continue to use said exploit after it was reported.

"
In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.

in my eyes, this is no different than outright cheating.

this should serve as a permanent ban and account wipe. no matter who they are. if not a ban, then an account wipe including all characters and items. deliberately breaking the rules should be dealt with swiftly and permanently. otherwise, the next time someone finds an exploit... they might keep it to themselves.

but because a streamer is involved, they get treated differently?
poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead
So they killed too many monsters and that's wrong somehow? I thought infinite mob spawning was fixed ages ago. If there is no internal cap on the number of spawned monsters that can give rewards per area +/- league mechanics than that's working as intended.
How are they to know what is intended or not? Finding ways to kill the most mobs per hour is literally the game. They were just banned for playing the game too well.
I suppose the only thing they did wrong was reporting something fishy and continuing to do it; Which does warrant a temp ban and maybe a league stash wipe because they used priority access to do questionable stuff.

Yeah if they weren't streamers they WOULD NOT be banned at all. They probably only would have had 90% of their currency wiped. They are now merely a sacrifice to tame the seething masses.

As for streamer priority, who cares. GGG paid people to play that couldn't play and then they tried to fix it. Then they asked around the office/chatroom for people to name some other streamers to add to the list, not a bad thing. The only possible complaint some could have for such a troublesome situation is nobody randomly chose some whales to put on the list; seeing as how such information shouldn't be easily accessible, it's understandable why they didn't.

they were banned for finding the exploit, reporting it, and then continuing to use it after they reported it. so, they knew it was wrong to do it but continued exploiting the bug. if that is not blatant disregard of the game rules, then i do not know what else to call it. in the history of gaming, doing what they did is in fact called cheating for personal gain/advantage.

This is very unfair for Empy and crew.

GGG please be fair for all. Look at the mirror market flooded by an exploit that you haven't fixed yet.

Yes this is standard already but its still a bug and people are still exploiting them because the -3 maximum sockets don't really apply to the items at all. You just prevented them from creating more but these people are making currency by continuing to use these exploits. You can simply remove the 3 sockets from them easily. These items don't deserve to be 6 sockets, 6 linked, and 6 white socketed for crying out loud. That's why people abuse exploits because you are letting people get away with past exploits like this. It clearly says -3 to maximum sockets they can't argue that the game allowed them so six socket it when its clearly a bug and they even made mirror gear out of it.

I know we can't ban anymore since its in the past but teach these people a lesson by fixing the bug and make them regret they invested on an exploit. This will keep people from exploiting more in the future.

They should be perma banned.
It is just a game. They won't die without it.

And can always make new accounts.
In other games people get permabanned and no one cares.
If I find something that works well... how am I supposed to know that it's an "exploit" rather than "a good way to do things"?

If someone were running a bot, or intercepting internet traffic with a hack or something then ok, they know they're up to no good, but if someone finds that putting a scroll of wisdom in the map device gets better drops or something like that... how would someone know that they're not supposed to do that?

tbh I like the games which encourage players to find new ways to do things.
