(3.16) NERFED DO NOT PLAY THIS Raider Archmage BF/BB [CHEAP, Tanky, HCSSF viable, (100m+ dps)

Almost level 97 and I don't think I'll be trying to gain any more levels past that (I find it more fun to just play fast instead of safely in maps/bosses).

I wanted to post the current (final?) state of my own build, and ask if anyone has suggestions for improvements.

Basic stats: 3,321 life, 10,654 mana, 46% evasion, 5% (53% with flask) phys reduction, 20%/64% (34%/71%) block, 55%/45% (68%/58%) dodge. 7.2M dps with 10 BB hits.

Here's my build:

Some reasoning:
Oscillating Sceptre base instead of Void Sceptre sacrifices the 40% elemental damage implicit to free up 2 skill points to spend in my cluster jewel.
I like shield because it makes me a lot bulkier than dual weapon. The huge spell block on this replica, as well as evasion.
I still need to grind for 14 more catalysts for my ring.

Is there a second best skill (maybe on cwdt?) instead of Vigilant Strike? I know VS is good for Fortify, but I forget it most of the time. I am looking for something automated.
Thanks
The three options for fortify is shield charge, vigilant strike or generals cry with the vigil jewel. None of them are automated.
could anyone suggest me the next upgrades I should go for?

Heyo I am struggling with damage on this build. What am I doing wrong?

I'm level 90 on SSF and I have 7k mana, a mistwall, and the penetration cluster jewels.

Any help would be appreciated but I just did a Shaper and my dps can't be higher than 1million.

Nice stuff! The gear is really similar to mine, but a bit better overall. My two suggestions are:
1. Fit regular RF into the build somewhere, it's a colossal damage boost.
2. Get the AoE BB enchantment, it results in a much more substantial damage increase than the increased damage one.
@WorderMostFoul

Is there a quick way to turn regular RF off when I want to be able to regen instead (like when running through traps or hazards)? I tried it before, and I had to unequip a bunch of things to get my fire res low enough to drop to 1 life for it to auto cancel. If so, I'll give it another shot. I can remove increased duration on my weapon, or faster attacks on my shield (Vigilant Strike).

Guess I'm back to grinding lab to find the AoE enchant for my helmet. Not too bad because I was going to do a bit anyway to get the Arcane Surge enchant for my belt.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I just leave it on all the time. My regen with it on is ~1400, with it off is ~2000. I can stand still in the lab traps with RF up and I don't take any damage.

The only way to turn RF off is to change zones, as in, portal out and back, use a flask with immune to ignite, or let your health drop to 1.
Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD
Feel free to message me in game if I'm on.

That definitely USED to be the case, and it was insanely annoying. But I thought they made an update last league or this league so that it turns off if you unsocket the gem? Guess I'll test that later when I'm at home.

@Xeeoph: I would just buy a helmet with the enchantment you want; mine was only 1 ex a few weeks ago. Even with this league's change to helmet enchantments, I don't think it's worth trying to farm one particular one. You could realistically run the lab hundreds of times without ever seeing the helmet enchantment you want!

...above from me...

I read through most of the thread.

I will try to just get better mana rolls on gear.

Unfortunately no Mana Unique Chest yet. It looks like it does huge work on this build.

I might take off my conductivity ring to fit a flat mana ring back in with better resist. I'm using Orb of Storms for more reliable EO at the moment anyway since I don't have the strength for enduring cry.

My boots could use a big upgrade.

I guess Mistwall may also come off although it does so much work it makes me really sad to think about taking it off.

Another 30% DPS from another scepter is huge though.
