I'm Jelly. I once spent 8 hours with 5 quicksilvers (and as much movespeed uniques/gear as I could muster) scouring mudflats. I found 1 feather.

I also occasionally run some Mudflats if I got short spare time. Have yet to find a feather. It is really exciting to read this thread with the past announcement of Chris concerning recipes in head.

Maybe it's a Diablo 2 reference, to the secret cow level?

Put the feather and a portal scroll/s in the map machine, and it opens a portal to the secret Rhoa level?

But maybe Feathers can be used on Portal gem like gemcutter's prism? and using 1-2 stacks of feathers on portal gem makes it usable only once for opening portal to Secret Kiwi Level?))

Some recipes are not that obvious but after you know them they tend to have some kind of logic behind them^^
