Was also considering what Chris Wilson said in his Q&A with Ziggy about how he doesn't like people making one super high investment map or blueprint and then reusing it infinitely. I hope it still works, but this patch hit pretty heavy with the nerfhammer. |

as far as i understand it atm
items can only be split once split items can be affected by orbs etc items can be mirrored as many times as you want the copy cant be affected by eorbs etc that leaves 1 question open though is "split" an item affix and can it be removed with orb of annulment |

It's definitely not an item affix and thus not removable in any way. Otherwise you could just scour a 6l 6w ivl 86 astral plate or a 35 quality map with 5 diviners delirium orbs and keep splitting it, defeating the entire purpose of this change.
