Heya! At the moment I'm planning on getting a Threado of hope with -10 resists and after that I'll save for a The Saviour, prices are starting to drop, so might expect to be able to grab one soon for 6ex or even less. For now try getting a Ryslatha.

Also, remember that using 2 guard skills on CWDT is unoptimal since they share cooldown.

Thanks for the tip on guard, didnt notice!

What would you suggest swapping it out for?

Another warcry?

I looked at Phase Run but it consumes your frenzy charges but does give 40% movespeed + phasing for like 5 seconds and damage increase

Heya! I just looked at your character PoB and made some adjustments. https://pastebin.com/5tSqkSRw

Try getting a pride aura in the helmet and get the new setups i did in the links. I'm gonna update the low budget PoBs now that I saw I didn't upload the optimal PoB files to pastebin.

So I'm doing a low life champion version of the build with 100% uptime on adrenaline, it's going pretty well. https://pastebin.com/L3dTNuJa

I'm thinking about crafting a chest but I've noticed that you've suggested explode mod for chest. Isn't explode actively bad for our build since it destroys impales so we can't CoS?

Heya! Thanks for replying! The explode mod, as mentioned on the gear recommendations, is not a must anymore because it was nerfed and is not a guaranteed proc, before it helped with clearing because of the chain explosions, but now it only helps a little. But having that in mind, since we do not have a guaranteed explosion proc, you're not destroying all enemies' bodies and you don't need a lot of impales on enemies to regain all 12 steel shards. Nevertheless, don't go for it, it's only worth going for it in the high-end when you're interested in running 100% deli maps or simulacrums.

I see that you got the 51% unreserved life setup with petrified blood. I tried that but didn't like it, even with 90% phys dmg reduction and my current LGOH and leech rate I was still being occasionally one shot in red maps. Dropped that setup and stopped dying in situations that befor could one shot me. It's a great setup, but I think it might be better if you have more maximum life and Divine flesh with 80% chaos res. Later on I'm gonna get equips to cap my chaos res and try divine flesh, it looks life an awesome damage mitigation setup, but before then I wont be trying that again soon hehe.

Edit: At a certain damage threshold you'll not be needing to consistently keep your shards up to clear normal content(heists, non-deli maps), so it wont really make a difference destroying the enemies.

Edit²: I was using a 40% attack block setup with petrified blood.

Appreciate all the help, brill guide so far.

Why would I take increased duration? Steelskin duration is pointless surely?

and Vaal Grace says "modifiers to buff duration also apply to this skill soul gain prevention" no idea what that means

Heya! Thanks for replying. Glad I was able to help.

Steelskin's duration is not completely pointless, but I should have split the links from cwdt steelskinn + vaal grace. The intention was to have increased duration linked to Vaal grace since it only marginally helps steelskin. The note about Vaal grace is that increases to duration also apply to its "cooldown". But I assume you're not popping Vaal grace all the time and only when it's necessary, so it's not a big deal.

Thanks for pointing out the issue with the increased duration in the cwdt setup.

Edit: Soul gain prevetion is the "cooldown" of vaal skills, it's a time that prevents you from getting enemy souls which are then used to cast vaal skills. While you're in one skill's soul gain prevention, you cannot gain souls for any other vaal skill, have that in mind.

Edit²: Forgot to explain, nut I don't recommend using Immortal Call on the end-game because we get up to 3 endurance charges with enduring cry and when you have the Thread of Hope and allocate the Discipline of the Unyielding notable, you get a small dps boost when at full endurance charges besides the phys dmg reduction gained from them. Enduring cry can give you all 3 charges in a single cast when facing a boss.

Beltimber is an OP wep for the meantime. Everytime you move skill it adds another 4 shards to your next attack

@Leckarion ty for the advice.
I was wondering about immortal call since it sounds better than steelskin. But yeah that makes 100% sense want to keep those stacks up

Hmm I see, I will probably just craft a +crit body armour and call it a day for now then.

As for survivability of petrified blood, I have died a couple of times due to one shots but I usually play squishy casters so... Just don't get hit haha. I actually use splitting steel when I map since it just clears the screen in 2 hits and does really well in ultimatums.

Funnily enough I was actually considering switching off low life once I am more invested. Blood thirst doesn't seem that much better then other supports when I am going full unga-bunga damage with 4-5k life. Dreadbeak is amazing at is price point when low life but will be switched out quite soon. Bring able to use pride + HoP+ aspect of spider+banner should bring more DPS then whatever adrenaline provides too.

Heya! Splitting Steel is really fun when you have enough attack speed, before that it's really slow imho. I would occasionally swap lancing steel for it with my min-maxed character last league just for the fun of it.

I understand what you're saying about investment, but it actually is an option to get a ultra tanky character with divine flesh + petrified bolood at cost of some damage. I'd personally not go for it, but I'll test it nevetheless cuz I plan on expanding the guide to Duelist and Shadow as well. That's actaully the reason for choosing Duelist this league. hehe

Have fun, buddy! Hope you find the guide useful anmd informative. Feel free to ask any questions.

Heya! Thanks for replying! Yes, it is the recommended setup if The Savbiour is not acessible. I am currently using 2 beltimbers and I am not buying The Saviour until its price gets as low as 6.5ex.
