Possible PoE Partnership Program?

From the wording it looks like he meant he was down 30k total from all the events up to this one.

It's just hard to quantify how much money exactly you gain from branding/exposure especially when he's doing through multiple avenues.

events don't generate much, if any revenue for GGG because

The race was paid for out-of-pocket by Zizaran. The fees for having a dedicated employee monitoring and the tangential expenses assosciated with it (even tho a server would cost you an avergae Joe about $1,000USD per month).

GGG took 37-38% of the prize pool as a largesse for using their infrastructure, to begin with.

People like you should be prevented from commenting on any subject at all, Poe related or not

Yes, every kind of marketing temporarily puts you "down" a certain amount of cash.

It's dishonest to pretend that his name and brand is not getting an insane boost from this, maintaining and increasing his viewership which translates into more future donations and partnership programs.

This.

If Ziz didn't benefit, he wouldn't keep running events.

Playing POE is a business for Ziz... this is simply a business decision for him.

I mean, if you could take your head out of your ass, you would understand that the thread / demands on reddit are for GGG to waive the fee, in which case they would get no direct revenue. There is also limited indirect revenue because the gauntlet mostly attracts current PoE players in terms of both participation and viewership.

And then consider how it cannibalises player retention by contributing to player burn out and detracting from the next league launch; some of the main reasons that GGG stopped hosting these event themselves.

Are ppl in that threas really arguing that ggg should do this for free cause they get exposure?
Imagine showing up at a themepark as a streamer with 1k ppl and instead of paying the entry fee for those ppl you offer to pay them in exposure.
You would be laughed at.
Not saying that ziz sayd this btw, but the ppl in that thread are making this idiotic argument.
How you can actually think like this is unreal, just how detached from reality and entitled can you get.
Also didn't already ggg give out free mtx? Or not this time? I know they have done so in the past.

They think profit is evil and loot boxes are immoral, gotta remember that's who you're dealing with when you get into the paid in exposure crowd.
very interesting +1
Delirium ended...
But the Voices never did.
