As for me I won't quit PoE for D2, even though I played D2 for 5 years or so. (Also played D1 and D3.)

PoE is too high quality so no real competition here. Actually PoE is kinda "dream D2" for me, "ideal D2 from the future".

Edit: It was about time. And I won't be beta testing it. But I will buy it and enjoy the crap out of it strictly OFF-LINE with mods and whatnot. Yeaaahh... Im not optimistic. Its Blizzard, I'll wait and see, they will have to do a lot right for me to consider it and the way they absolutely destroyed the design of the paladin assassin and amazon really doesnt make me think they will do this right.

Watched the QA yesterday.

It is basically the same old D2 (based on 1.14D and all underlying mechanics) with an audio visual facelift (including new cutscenes), with minor QoL functions like linking items in the chat.

They will keep collision so the Maggot Lair in act 2 will still be fun in multiplayer ;)

Ive been waiting for this for so long! hope they not mess it up. Cant wait for it!
