Is POE the best ARPG available now?

Hi all!

Considering the depth of POE, the different builds possible, loot find and gameplay, is POE the best ARPG in the market now?

Not considering build nerfs (which happens in most games), limited stash tabs, which I am not concerned with in particular.

If not, which other ARPG do you think is better?

Thanks!

I meannnnnnn......... I think so???

Although Diablo 2 is still played today, particularly through light mods like Path of Diablo that rebalance things, maybe add some new things here and there, and keep updates. Been thinking of playing it.

I'm going to see how much I enjoy PoE now that I have a computer that doesn't explode (but still has freeze moments, because it isn't a multi-million dollar military computer).

But, PoE is still littered with bullshit 1-shots and severely polarizing currency inflation, so I'm holding out hope that Diablo 4 ends up decent enough. I really want a comfortable ARPG home, and PoE is probably not going to be it.

But for now... it might be?
not the best but the somewhat the one pulling out different things.. content wise.. not so much balance wise because they are constantly nerfing players.

totally a game to play every 3 months for a couple weeks and move on, not so much after that.

poe2 = ruthless 2.0 = bad.
I mean this comes down to personal prefernce. For a lot of people PoE is too complex to enjoy. At release I preferred D3 to POE personally mostly because PoE was very clunky gameplay wise and its systems were bloated more than truly complex. D3's lack of depth kept it a short term game though. PoE is a much better game today than it was in the first couple years, I'll give you that much.

But some people just want a light hearted aRPG where you blow things up and don't have to think at all. This probably isn't the game for them at this point. There is a lot to learn as a new players. Not everyone wants the same things out of a game or enjoy the same aspects.
Well, I actually do think so, but as said above: It depends on personal preference.
Sure, there are things that I don't like. The lab for example.
And: An ARPG usually is all about items. But no matter how good your equip is.. if you don't learn every frigging move an endboss does AND are lucky at the same time, you're effed.
Talking ´bout one-shots. ^^
I mean... shouldn*t top notch gear at least compensate for a mistake here and there?
Looks like another thread where we can post our opinions as fact. All for it. Let me just point out that "best" implies a ranking system. There is no reliable ranking system.

PoE is best at doing what PoE does. That's about the only thing we can agree on. People don't even agree on what A R P or G mean. So the thread is pretty pointless from conception. We don't have the same meaning for the words being used.
It's been the best for a while.

How is that not PoE?
I love PoE and i think there are many ARPGs currently that are worth playing :

- Grim Dawn, from Creators of Titan Quest with a dual class system. Graphics are a little outdated, but developers still pump out free Updates!

- Torchlight 3, successor of Torchlight 1&2, more lighthearted and "casual", tries to give an MMO-feeling. Not my cup of tea, but worth trying.

- Diablo 3, not much to say, lots of wasted potential. Recently got some love with more free season content.

- Last Epoch, early access game, feels like something between PoE and D3, although a little smaller monster density. Definitly worth trying!

Theres many more on Steam and upcoming, but i think those are the biggest right now. Its worth to try each to see what fits your Monster mashing needs!
