[Update in Progress] Luna's Guide to Blazing Salvo Miner |All Content Viable| Cheap Boss Melting
Regarding tremor rod. I played purifying flame mines with tremor rod last league and, as far as I can tell, nothing has changed in how the detonations work. I easily cleared all the new content with that setup.
I did notice the weird detonation chains at the time but figured this was some kind of interaction between minefield, skitterbots and/or mines being destroyed by enemies after 5 seconds (with clever construction). If I put ONLY a blazing salvo gem in a tremor rod and throw 15 mines (the default maximum) and detonate, then 15 mines are detonated in a chain. I can then press the detonate button again to detonate the same 15 mines a second time. I believe this is consistent with the text on tremor rod. Now, why when minefield is used, and when throwing more than 15 mines, the detonation chain is extended or broken I have no idea. Maybe there's a chain cap, maybe there is some weird interaction, but unless I'm missing the point completely here, I think things are working the same as always/intended. |

" I have the same issue with Ultimatum, playing life based at the moment. One stun and I'm dead. If I get caught on terrain, I'm dead. Feels like once you spawn the wave, you need to just run circles around the perimeter and pray. Maybe going LL will solve this issue with more damage, but right now it feels very bad to get to the end wave and die and lose it all. |
|
Same here... the only ultimate event which I can do is survival while running around the circle.. Feels really bad.
Can someone confirm if this build in LL is capable to complete all challenges this league ? |
|
I'd say it's not about a build. It's about the league. There is too many monsters spawning, and they are too powerful in my opinion. I'm playing early LL(no cluster and chayula amulet) got 6k es and i can do any ultimatum on t15 map withous any mods. The problem is when i get monster life and couple dmg mods, then it's impossible.

" Well, it doesn't matter for juiced T16 monsters whether you have 5 or 7k EHP. The only strategy to complete high-level Ultimatums is to run around their perimeter, dodging as many projectiles as you can, throwing some mines as soon as you get some distance with monsters. Currently I am 4700hp life version and I easily can do at least 4 waves on almost every T16 map (I am rerolling no-regen, unlucky chance to dodge, reduced flask charges). " Sometimes even the perimeter is a bit dangerous, like I am so focused on not dying, staying away from monsters especially so I don't get stunned. I don't notice sometimes I step of out the circle and I fail. The worst ultimatum is the stand in a circle one, I don't even bother doing those anymore as it's almost guaranteed death. I'm curious how do you handle the stun, other than get the pantheon for some stun mitigation as it's likely bound to happen since some monsters are warp speed fast sometimes. |

If you're having trouble with survivability on a life-based build, try taking the acrobatics nodes and using a quartz flask. They're pretty amazing with the sabo's born in the shadows.
With the crazy price of prism guardian it seems I'll be life-based for a while longer. Who'd have thought it was 10c last league... |
|
Quartz flask is absolutely necessary. It gives you literally tons of survivability in Ultimatums.

Just killed The Formed. Taking into consideration my shitty gear, low level gems and the fact that I've never played miner before, build goes very well.
