However you can manually login to the trade site because this increases your maximum rate. However if you do "bulk" searches like that, you will be restricted no matter what......

Well if you share the same public IP then this is the problem and this is made even worse if the person uses 3 party software.

You can try to manually login to the trade site because this increases the rate other then that, your only other option is to use a VPN system.

Yeah, I always use the official pathofexile.com/trade website to look for items or check value etc. I know the problem arises, because another person in my network (hence same IP) uses a trade macro to quickly check items.
That's what I'm saying - I can't stop him to use that program, all I can do is ask, but it sucks that even if I "play by the rules" I will get punished for another person's actions.

The situation, that multiple people with the same IP try to access the trade servers at the same time, is probably not very common, so I see why GGG won't bother too much and me neither, there are far worse problems to be handled. But my point is rather that the system is unfair for the person in the network who doesn't use any third party programs or macros.

Have the same problem since 2 hours. And no i was not using a third party programm. How long do I have to wait until it gets lifted?

Who knows the CD time?

Why does this keep happening? I am flipping cards for profit and I keep getting the rate limit exceeded not for a hour. Is there any way to fix?

don't use 3 party software that access GGG backend API's.
Else you will need to e-mail GGG support.

4 years later and you still can't handle appropriately rate limiting your live searches... you don't even give us OPTIONS to do it... you just spam yourselves... think about that for a second.

Having a similar issue.
Currently i have a chrome tab-folder with around 10 searches.
I have to refresh them only 3 by 3 and wait a bit else i get a 120 second rate limit exceeded message.

I'm not using any third part software dedicated to PoE

It seemed to trigger if:
- I refresh more than 3 tab (with f5) in quick succession
- Sometime even if i refresh less than two

I also use ublock origin, might force the website to send more requests that usual and therefore trigger the rate limit ? No idea

Just a testimony, hoping that would get fixed at some point
