Oh we go Lovecraft again? Will Shub-Niggurath finally visit Wraeclast? :D

Provide references if you are going to accuse people of plagiarism. Otherwise it just seems like defamation.

Yeah, that's not how plagiarism or defamation work, and you shouldn't go throwing serious terms around so flippantly. 'Inspired by' doesn't even come close to 'plagiarism' as an academic/journalistic term. Defamation is the result of seriously published material that seeks to reduce the reputation of an individual or entity to a point of lost profits -- not idle forum chatter. And legally, all GGG would have to worry about is copyright infringement -- and most of the Cthulhu mythos went public domain years ago, so GGG could literally put Shub-Niggurath in the game and no one could say shit about it.

And if you're going to pretend that Tsoatha isn't 100% inspired by R'lyeh or that Maps themselves aren't basically Lovecraftian Other Worlds OR that the Beyond bosses don't all have names that could be straight outta Lovecraft (eg Haast [Hastur], Abaxoth [Azathoth]), well, that's your head to bury in the sand.

Nice try with the armchair lawyering though.

Maybe we get a useful and powerful companion for mapping. Heist was the play testing!

That way they can juice the bosses even more!

A D2-hireling-type follower would be pretty cool. I can imagine that would vastly shake up the meta - possibly. Depending on how it's done

I miss those guys. I always got the Act 2 Combat hirelings for the life and mana regen, and being able to hook 'em up with ethereal pikes socketed with Ith El Eth. Good stuff. :D
