What We're Working On

Not spending any more time playing this until the crashes get fixed. Heist will crash every second contract, sometimes every contract. spend so much time picking up loot, killing things, being selective about what you plunder and its all pointless. So much loot (and time) lost because I tried to open a chest or flame dash past mobs.
I posted this under the Skill Gem review forum for Shattering Steel, but since you asked for replies here I'll just copy and paste it.

I just have a complaint about Call of Steel. It's a super interesting idea and it works pretty well, but with Shattering Steel its pretty annoying.

It feels like it was just added to slow the skill down. The explosions are pretty nice but without Lord of Steel jewel the skills feels awful. Just slow and clunky.

Even with Lord of Steel, the playstyle is still pretty clunky. Explosions are nice for map clear but once you get to a boss you have to back away a couple of times just to gather more shards.

I think it would be better if the steel skills had passive shard generation and you added Call of Steel as a skill gem to support steel skills. Maybe a Steel tag could be added? That way we could increase CD recovery, add aoe to the explosions, maybe mess around with ele conversion even. It also just feels odd having a skill and not be able to change anything about it besides adding one jewel to it. Doesn't quite fit the PoE gameplay I expect.

Crackling Lance damage seems kinda off while mapping. With >20k in tooltip it sometimes takes 3-4 casts(with spell echo) to kill white mobs in Tier 1 map.

pretty sure it is. My tooltip is close to 200k and killing even low level bosses takes forever.
In general, most issues related to this new content has been already posted, new skills are amazing but numbers don't support them.

For me, as steel skills user, the main problem is Call of Steel. For fast builds, based on impale stacking and high attack speed, it feels so cluncky and makes the "faster use" jewel mandatory. The "increased damage" version isn't even an option. For slow builds with 2H weapons and huge hits it's not so annoying, but still the feelings are too slow. In order to make it smoother for both kind of builds and giving its own identity to both versions of the jewel, I think the best solution is pretty simple: "Modifiers to attack speed are applied to Call of Steel cast speed".

The other big issue I find in Call of Steel is that it doesn't reclaim the impale stacks from enemies out of sight, even if they're within range. It makes it so uneffective in most indoor maps, including the heists themselves. It's also very counter-intuitive when using Splitting Steel. Splitting Steel is a great skill that allows you to point anywhere on the ground and it will split in that point, no matter if it hits or not. It's really so satisfying, you've focused quite a lot this league in area control and clever positioning, and splitting steel is way more rewarding in that sense than blazing salvo, glacial cascade or any of the new "area control" skills. But then... all those feelings and satisfaction are spoiled because your main dps skill literally doesn't work if you shrewdly position. Call of Steel is already slow enough as it is, to also need to stand still in front of enemies.

That being said, Splitting Steel is still bugged, AoE modifiers have no effect on it.

Ps.: as a fan of steel skills... when will Steelskin get some love? This league it has fallen into oblivion in both effectiveness (Frost Shield heavily displaced it in every sense), and appearance. Steelskin has always looked horrible, but now with the new and revamped steel skills, it's pretty obvious that you can do it better for Steelskin

Doomsday doesn't appear to work properly when using a hex linked to Spell Cascade. It only creates a hexed area for the last cascade, as opposed to all 3 cascades. Not sure if this is the intended function of doomsday, but it seems wrong.

Glad to see somebody is watching and fixes are coming.
...narf
The only problem I have is contracts drop rate is too low
Yo! how about adding another stash chest in the room with the exit portal at heist so people can throw in things between wings on grand heists

Hi!
First of all, great work with the league! I don't share Reddits opinion and am a little bit sad to see Alert level on guard kill go. That said, the content is good and I love the new replica uniques!

I agree as well. I think the best option would be the treat guards as objects instead of units until they get aggro by proximity of the player. This way Summons / Skills / Heist NPCs wont interact with them at all and it's 100% based on the player's movement / Positioning.

Taking out the enemy alert level is going to kill the theme of this league I feel. No more watching patrols or listening to various environmental effects. Just run through like the rest of the game.
