I agree that Torchligh 1 gets boring after, lets say, 15h of gameplay, but as some of you said, Runic had a small crew, a limited budget and a limited time to finish the game, they stated that the game was sow "raw" mainly because they had a very short time to finish the product. But now, they have such a better structure and much, much more time to polish their product that I believe TL2 is going to be a blast, I played the beta for about 15 hours and those ware the best hours I've spend playing an ARPG since D2, the TL2 beta was 100x more fun IMO than all my 60h hours of gameplay on D3.
For those who have some doubts about how better than TL1 TL2 is going to be here are some pretty numbers:  Torchlight 2 and Path of Exile seem to be equally great but with different qualities, making them to be easily playable at the same time. Despite how bad D3 was, this year is a good year for such games. |

I agree, TL1 was fun for a while, TL2 seems more polished and alot more content. I wonder how mythos would have developed if not for the backlash they had. I won't try it now. I'm only looking forward to PoE and maybe some grim dawn in the future.

Well, nothing other than Summer came out about the release date, I think is going to take 1 month from now, but that's going to fall right on the GW2 release...so my naive part hopes for 3 weeks from now, but my more realistic part says 5 or 6 weeks from now.

played the beta. absolutely it is awesome. cant wait for release this fall/summer

I played torch light and really enjoyed the first playthrough. It then became boring because there's no social system, the game world was extremely small also but I've heard they're fixing that in tl2.
