Bane and Vixen's Entrapment Gloves no longer interact and I don't think that's intended.

This does come across in the category of "as per usual, GGG kinda forget that whole items existed when they made a major mechanical change."

(I will never forget how, when they did 3.0.0, they said "all sources of chance to pierce are gone," but it took them like a whole league to remember that Lightning Strike still had "chance to pierce" as its quality bonus)

And yeah, given that it wouldn't make much sense to proc Vixen's on casting a Mark, the logical answer here is that GGG should adjust the script on Vixen's to proc when the player casts a hex, rather than a curse. This would restore functionality for Bane, and better fit the whole theme of it.

Also for those wondering: because that particular line on Vixen's Entrapment is a unique script that is tied exclusively to that item, any change to its function would be retroactive; all our existing copies would see the fix.

I think were not yet sure that this actually is a bug. So far it's more like a question we'd like to get an answer for - and it's something of a test: Is the chance of GGG staff answering a pretty simple question on their own board actually lower than the drop chance for an Exalt?

In 3.13 I plan to make changes to improve its interactions based on whether we’re making any further curse change. I’ll make sure we do something for it, which will likely include uniques like Vixens.

It was a PM between myself and Rory on the Balance and Design team.
rory is the best, im sure if hes on the case theres light at the end of the tunnel for bane and the gloves.
Currently using Hexblast Poison with Arcanist brand, works like a charm on practice with Void sphere + hextouch so far, but on paper i'm sure it won't make it past Maps.

My build it's essentially wrong but surviving, if they're not including Bane to interact at least with Doomsday/Impending Doom then I'm not interested in all this new doom/curse crap.
I hate the idea of selfcasting curses one by one and hexblast back and forth, so I thought Bane with 2/3 curses and Arcanist brand/Hexblast would save me a lot and complement extremely good in my build.

But no, dream is dead.
