That interesting, I assumed it was a conversion. If that is the case it could work, being able to stack perm wither stacks on bosses would help the boss DPS. Would have to work out the sockets. We could run a witchfire brew for curse, drop curse, drop WoC. Drop cwdt firestorm, with 10 bosses on screen we wont need it for full charge regen with ambu's and EoI

Orb of Storms (20) - crit strikes (20) - cwdt (1) - molten/steelskin

cast speed gloves - wither - spell totem - multi totem - duration?

Final socket on wither totem is interesting, duration is standard but useless with perm stacks. Pre cast speed gloves faster casting could go there, we also really wont need withering active after the first ~5-6 seconds, could pop in a despair, and once at full stacks switch to curse totem to either replace witchfire brew or just help with cursing between flask charges.

Can swap flamedash to withering step as well.



Didn't even think of witchfire brew. I was trying to work in wither - spell totem as a 2 link in the 6 socket chest since no need for duration as stacks dont expire. along with withering step for 6 stacks of wither when entering screen, CWDT with MS, and bloodrage. Arcane Capacitor node for arcane surge cast speed.

using witchfire brew is HUGE i love that idea. Frees up 3 sockets for me.


FYI withering step buff dsnt stack with enduring cry buff.

hey ho, looking to start this in 3.13, what's thoughts on Ritual multi boss capability? Honestly think INGITES might work well, and this tanki boi might be a god choice??

Waiting on the ascendancy changes. Fingers crossed we get some buffs
Very Fun Build!

Well with the ascendancy changes out it looks like we lose 2% regen, and everything else stays the same. Pretty uninspired change. After seeing the rest of the nerfs it looks like we lucked out a bit though. Last league I never even bothered upgrading to Kaom's Way until 90's so the regen ding wont feel too bad.

I think endgame with all the right gear Elementalist will put up good damage numbers. Especially a blackflame ring version.

Overall build will be same as last league unless any changes to the gem. We weren't in nerf category and they just changed the gem last league so I would be surprised if it gets touched at all or possibly a small numerical buff.
3.13 PoB added.

Chieftain - Lost 2% regen. Slightly better phys mitigation, with the increased phys damage taken as fire.
Jugg - Gained a bit of regen (still far less than chieftain)

Overall the builds will function the same as before.

Looking forward to the league, hoping we can get a beneficial new base type from the Ritual bases.

Anyone wanting to play this build I would really recommend Elementalist. It is just far better at this point. Which bums me out because the flavor fits Chieftain so much better.

Elementalist gains about 6M DPS, or triple with the same gear. Way higher ceiling at around 9M DPS ignites, similar life plus a 3k hp shield. Less regen but still about 600/sec after the ambu and blood rage degens.

Without the blackflame ring it's still double the DPS of Chieftain.

Only downside is you will for sure need eye of innocence and replica ambu's to keep the charge generation smooth. So I plan on leveling with fireball/flamewall and switching once those become available.

SOB I was really looking to play the CHieftain version of your build as Im tired of squishy witches.. Do you think the Chieftain version will still allow me to get into RED maps and maybe more ?? IM sort of casual and wont be trying Mav most likely - if at all...
