Trade site ban list not working
The ban list used to work fine but now I ban someone and the the items that person is selling still show.
Other than that, my list used to be very long (mostly people that never replied) but now I can see only about 20 names on it. EDIT: It's not 20 names, I was using dramatic effect. It's 50 names. Last edited by nszeek#6532 on Sep 11, 2020, 5:16:27 PM Last bumped on Sep 15, 2020, 7:06:00 AM

Unfortunately we had to add a limit as certain players were abusing the system and causing problems.

" Let's hope this is about a bit of an exaggeration then yeah? There are hundreds of players who only intend to mislead with their prices. |

" Yeah, I went for some dramatic effect, it's 50 names. I counted them. |

" I hope you are more then clearly aware how utterly unacceptable pathetic a 20 name list is with the amount of pricer fixer you need to sort out on a regular basis?! Like you better make sure you find a better solution ASAP. Launching a new league this way has to be the "out of season april's fool joke". |

" Is there any chance for this to be reverted, maybe on a per-account-age basis? I really had a lot of people that: - Didn't reply - Had an item listed for 1-3 months and suddenly it had the wrong price when I wanted to buy it - Were clearing price fixing (mostly for alt arts) Anyway, it made buying stuff a lot easier because I didn't have to scroll down 10 or 20 guys to get one that would reply. Pricing stuff was easier too because I knew the "real" price of the items. If it can't be changed, is there any chance I can get an e-mail with the names on my old list? Maybe I can get some makeshift 3rd party checker or something. |

The actual limit is 500, the visible limit on the page is 50. We'll be working on adding pagination to help curate the list.

Can you do something about the price fixers then? Otherwise this is a massive step backwards.

Just saying maybe we should set it up so that we can actually trade with people if they're in a map or something? Like that beta trade manifesto from 10 years ago was saying.
Like we could set the exact price and then people could just come into our hideout and buy it for that exact price. and then the people that try to price fix would be automatically filtered because their stuff was bought and they no longer have a listing. Like I'm all for encouraging players to talk and negotiate and haggle and trade in person, but on the flip side of that as there is no other option aside from that we're basically forced to deal with all the undesirable parts that come when locked into a market without any choice about how to do business. The problem with the constraints of the current system is that it basically assumes that everybody is going to, always and forever, act in good faith. If that was true we wouldn't need the ignore list for an abstracted trade website, and GGG wouldn't have policies in place about scamming because they wouldn't need to. I'd like to see the final steps of that trade manifesto from eons ago enacted until a better solution can be found. All of the pieces are in place even. IGN : Reamus
