Would be really nice to have more than an hour's notice when this goes live. Downloading something this size is going to be intrusive, even on the best systems.

Others asked whether they'd still want to use the ggpk defragmenter after this change. I assume that actually this is a file format change, and the defragmenter will cease working.
So the real questions: Will there still be a benefit to defragmenting, in terms of shrinking storage space? Will the new file format be documented for 3rd party tool builders, so someone can build such a defragment tool? Last edited by Souleus on Sep 8, 2020, 4:32:07 PM
