No, that's intentional. Some masteries just don't help that much at this moment.

Kinda of surprised to hear that cause some seem like no brainers to take. Like +50 life, or 40% increased dmg from hits to rare and unique enemies. But im assuming you have some other goals in mind with this tree atm so I'll wait to see how it progresses.
Trying this build right now and I'm around act 6.
The only problem I have is that it's incredibly slow.
First you have to cast 3 warcries which make you stand still for 1-2 seconds, then tectonic slam which takes 1-2 seconds to cast as well.
How do we "speed up" this process?

the warcry is pre-casted, not cast before encounter. Once the fight starts, you only need to cast 1 warcry in between attack. You can refer to the video section as reference.

Also make sure your attack time is less than 1 second. You can find some faster weapon like 2h axe. Also, no need to equip those -attack speed gems like melee phys and pulverise.

+50 life and 40% increased damage to rare/unique are good nodes :)

Feel free to allocate them. I didn't put tons of efforts minmaxing league start POB, therefore I'm sure there are good mastery that I missed.

I will definitely update them once I reach that level. Appreciate the suggestion by the way.

I always love Marauder. Ya I play Witches for their screen elemental eye candy abilities,
and the ranger when I want to play distance killing. (Robin Hood) style.

But I always come back to the Marauder.
Maybe its because its the first character I've ever started with when I first got into and played PoE.

Anyways, sorry for my forked thoughts,
Just wanted to say thank you for updating the Marauder to the new league, it is appreciated very much.

League starting this.. But I'm on a SSF kick since last league so I'm attempting this build in SSF soft core.. So far its looking promising. Just keep waiting for updates to the PoB.

Got any tips for this build in SSF? such as needing a tidebreaker? is it a must?

tidebreaker isn't a must, you can use any high-phys 2H weapon. Later in the game our gears won't depend on specific unique much, because we will craft almost all the gears. Therefore it should be SSF friendly.

When I update gear section, I will keep SSF in mind and provide instructions for SSF accordingly.

Jenno, this build is obviously an insane bosser, and a decent mapper. Just wanted to ask how this build handles swarm mechanics a la delve, scourge, blight, etc?

I'm see-sawing between Tec Slam and Ice Crash.. Ice Crash because of the 360 aoe, whereas Tec Slam is like a directional triangle
