I've been using your build as a league starter and I've been really enjoying it so far. I'm up to lvl 88 and just started using Secrets of Suffering and thought I'd share my two cents.

I found that the build really struggles early on until you get some increased AoE. With the base AoE you can't even hit enemies with the final GC spike on purpose because of the limited mine targeting range.

For me the build really came alive after taking the Bomb Specialist ascendancy point. I took it second (after Pyromaniac), but I'd personally take Bomb Specialist first now if I was leveling it again.

I also pathed down to Blast Waves for more AoE and I took Blast Radius (but dropped it after getting Explosives Expert in uber lab). With those assigned the AoE is big enough that the third 200% spike virtually always hits enemies. I'm not running increased AoE support, but cold pen as a 6th link.

Next I'll try running conc effect and reassigning Blast Radius to see if the AoE is still big enough, since it's much better damage then cold pen.

hello, please keep us informed about your discoveries, I might get blast wave too and drop AOE support gem to something else, maybe conc or cold pen as u said

hm it seems the numblock trick wont work anymore.

mines becomes annyoing again...

Never tried this lol, first time doing a miner build, I'm currently pressing space to detonate the mines, what special about this numblock trick??

well you put the button to detonat on a numblock button like arrow up. then pressing arrow up while activation numblock will lock the " you press arrow up to detonate your mines" so you lay mines and they explode instant without you pushing anything by yourself.

that was the only reason mines was playable.

it works somehow today too but after a while or when you switch to another zone it seems to deactivate by its own.

oh I see, I'm gonna test this ASAP!

Oh I see... yep, every time I change to another map I need to to the trick again =(
guuys, the 'attack in place' option is not working for me, doesn't put mine below me when I hold shift button, I'm doing something wrong??

Hey ! thanks for your feedback on the build. I think cold pen support is a very good choice now if we got enough AoE because there is an alternate quality on it that grants us "Supported Skills have 20% increased Effect of Cold Ailments" wich now affect Brittle and got a pretty high number (20%).

The best Alternate quality on GC would be : "20% reduced Area of Effect, Final Burst Deals 40% more Damage" wich makes us deal 20% MORE damage (only with quality) but we would need more AoE? or maybe it is sufficient (if we don't use conc effect). Need to be tested. I will update the guide with all best alternate quality next days.

Hey just want to say loving the build so far!
Level 70 and was able to snag the interrogation for much cheaper since league start so I'm just now unlocking the build.

My questions: What early anoints can we use while were still on a budget? I only see that your 2 anoints are charisma and sovereignty.

and is there a diagram or video that shows us proper mine placement with the new knockback feature of GC? I'm just flinging the mines as this is my first miner build

If it help us deal 20% more damage, why not use another Alternate quality, which is (0-20)% increased damage. We dont need to lose that 20% AoE
