You can only conclude they didnt want any starter builds relying on jewels. Late league a reasoably wealthy exile could plan one.

Perhaps they thought it overcomplicated things for beginners. Which is probably true.

Same philosophy that lead to many timeless jewel impacts now being in a base tree.

the real question is, with that change, the game becomes more fun or more boring?

Cluster never should have gone core in the first place. They were so broken that builds without them were just bad in comparison last league. Good thing they were greatly nerfed.

I pretty much agree with this take. They can be endgame BiS for some builds but shouldn’t be mandatory.

Me too.

That's why I don't do leagues. Doing SSF and farming up as much as I can so I can pivot to a new build whenever I need to. So far so good for me and have enough gears to setup shop with several new builds I have in mind.

I was worried about cluster jewels. Imagine making your skill tree being a currency sink tied to RNG luck like finding your crafting recipes are. Like how map drops are, like how drops in general are. Imagine having to gamble your hard-earned chaos orbs for a chance at pathing to the Scion life wheel.

Dodged an RNG bullet with this one. Now imagine them nerfing the regular skill tree to encourage more cluster jewel use. Yikes!

It's a real shame they got neutered. They added so much to the game.

I dont get how they went from Chris wanting them to drop everything to now dropping only in 10% of maps that have a delirium and now with exponentially worse weighting of good mods.
