Looks like Blizzard is getting ready to release. Will you play it? If you do, do you think it will change your loyalty towards this game? How likely are you going to own/play both game? | |

Before this open beta announcement, I was likely to buy Diablo 3 just to play it. However, now I can try it out before buying it, if it turns out to be what I expect, at least I'll save myself some money. :)

Yeah!!
Why am I saying yeah? Well, they must have faith in their game if they are having an open beta. I already pre-ordered my copy, so i'm buying it anyway, but all the negative talk about it has really made me much less excited about it. I'm hoping this Beta is going to show that the game is really fun. It would have to be very, very bad for me to cancel my pre-order...and I just don't see them having an open beta if it was that bad. | |

Blizz just satisfy the game of huge stresstest that way, allowing everybody during this week end is a fair move anyway

will be interesting today evening... the client is already downloading. Either the connection works and I'll play D3 to finally test it before release - or the connection is too buggy or loosing connection too often due to too many people trying to get in - and I'll continue the evening with PoE. either way it will be a nice evening once I make it home.

I have loyalty with hack & slash games. Gotta try them all. Not expecting to get much done on D3 beta weekend though since it'll get lagged to hell with all the people trying to play.
But of course I can continue it once open weekend is over. ;) | |

Wasn´t intended to be a open beta, according to some blue posts yesterday. Now today we have news postet 5hours ago, "You will be able to login next friday 20th". Next friday = 27th ! No chance i´ll be able to download it in this short timeframe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcKqhDFhNHI

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the people at GGG take a break to play d3 (if they havn't already had a chance) this weekend. I mean, they basically said they were inspired by d2 etc...and that they were fans of the genre. It's gotta be hard for fans NOT to try d3 when given a chance.
As far as loyalty, I am certainly going to keep playing this game, and donating to it but I also intend on playing d3, torchlight 2 and a bunch of other action rpgs that are coming out. I don't thinkg GGG wants us all to only play their game and no other ones that are like it!! Even if D3 is AWESOME and blows me away i'll still play PoE and I'll still mention it to people I now, see at gamestop etc. This is a great game. I hope d3 is a great game too. I can't have too many great games. | |
