This is such a well written and explained build guide! Thank you so much for taking the time to share it with the community.

It has been many leagues since I played a summoner and I want to try this as my second build this league.

I have read the build guide once, so please forgive if this question should have been obvious to me.

I saw this sentence in your guide:

"Lastly lastly, minions don't care about you. So if you're taking damage, they aren't going to run back and help you. You have to help yourself"

This sentence immediately made me think of the skill Convocation which was extremely powerful the last time I played a summoner. Has this skill been nerfed over time or is it just not viable with this build?

I remember using this skill a ton for two reasons:

1) if I even did get in trouble, using Convocation was an instant get out jail free card. Recalling every minion used to quickly get you out of trouble

2) I used it when my minions, via the AI would spread out too much and this would help corral them as we moved into the next pack.
Hey AndyLovesHisBge! Thanks! That's very kind of you! I appreciate your kindness.

Convocation is really strong for sure. People are welcome to add it anywhere they like! The reason I excluded it from the build is because it's another button to press ;) and because our Zombies have Meat Shield linked to them so that keeps them close. Convocation would be good for recalling Spectres and the Aminated Guardian.

So to answer your question, the skill has changed a couple of times over the last while and it's still good. It's just not necessary with Meat Shield.

Great post! Thanks!

I just found one of these cluster jewels everyone is talking about nowadys... now I wonder if this one might be useful for my latest Slo-Mo? To be honest, it doesn't look too impressive for me, but maybe I have to craft? I have absolutely no idea how to use these cluster jewels... maybe anyone here with more experience could give me a helping hand?

I found something like the perfect soundtrack for this build: "I walked with a zombie". Maybe you would like to here it, too, so I just give you the link: YouTube.
Nice find Caligula_Exile! Cluster jewels are strong for sure. They just require some personal math. (These are the mods that can roll on that jewel: https://poedb.tw/us/mod.php?cn=BaseItemTypes&an=Large+Cluster+Jewel&tags=affliction_minion_damage.)

You craft them like you do any other piece of gear. You can either spam Chaos Orbs or simply use an Alteration on a Magic version of the jewel until you get a suffix you like. Then use an Augmentation to get an extra magic mod. Then Regal it.

Does that help?

OH right! GGG posted yesterday (my time) that ALL Large Cluster jewels will have 2 sockets. Your jewel will be able to have two sockets as well. Check out the post on the announcements page. Wait to craft your jewel until then, you're more likely to get a better outcome!

Hello ppl

First of all thx for the awesome build for the ppl that is beguinner.

Its my 3rd league but i still consider me a beguinner :)

Just a question, how many zombies you get at the end?

Thx a lot :)

Sorry for my English. Its not my first language
Hi nanulin! Thank you for your kind words! That is very nice of you :).

With a full passive tree, without gear, you will have 8 Zombies.

Your English is great! Ask as much as you like.

with this builds investment in curses and end game bosses being very curse resistant, will it struggle during late end game material?
Not at all AndyLovesHisBge. This build revolves around being able to do the endgame boss battles. Being a decent mapper just came with the natural perk of being a minion build.

If GGG didn't make bosses less effected by curses, Enfeeble and Temporal Chains would be on every build.

The build guide suggests that what ever specter we choose, we should focus on physical damage. Is that due to scaling from the tree or is that due to limiting the mods we want to avoid when mapping?

I am asking this due to the suggestion of Solar Guards, which are elemental based.

You'd think physical damage but Solar Guards deal fire damage and they're supported by Elemental Army despite being the only minions who deal fire damage. I'd like some clarification here too.
The reason the guide suggests Physical damage for offensive spectres is because of the Flesh and Stone + Maim setup. It'd simply take more advantage of what the build naturally offers.

That doesn't mean that other spectres won't do decent damage but it does make spectres that are normally ignored viable candidates for decent damage. But there are literally hundreds of options for spectres. So the best spectres to choose are you favourites, not the "best on paper". I once had a "Goat Only" spectre build. And only the melee goats. They were jumped everywhere and stunned everyone. It was awesome.

Not counting unique gear, what kind of gear/mods would you be looking for for Animate Guardian in SSF? Health/Res/HP Regn?
Correct Festerpad! Pretend you are gearing yourself. Lots of life and resists. AGs don't need as much resists as us as minions have different baselines than us. But the more the merrier. They also deal physical damage. So if you like gearing, this is wear you put that awesomely rolled melee weapon that you're sad you normally could use as a summoner.

You're correct on all accounts.

Hey guys i'm having issues with CWDT my desecrate doesn't work same with Purifying flame at least that's what i think. My offering works it shows multiple times but i never see the other two.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Hey nleugbal. Without seeing your character (you can make them public in your personal settings on the website) I can think of two things. The first is that Purifying Flame may have been levelled a little too high and it's now outside of CwDT's trigger range. The second would be that the background art of the item makes it seem like you have a 4 link.

Purifying Flame is a tricky skill to see with this build. It's a busy screen.

Does that help? Let me know if not.

Hey @wrecker,

Didn't know my characters were hidden, please have another look ! :)

P.s: Is there anyone that's following the guide that is experienced which i can stalk their profile? Just to compare things and such :-)
Starting to think Meat Shield is a liability...not a fan of needing to run directly into enemy frontlines for my zombies to kill anything, putting myself at massive risk.
I am confused on one mechanic.

I just reached level 31, and turned on both of my curse aura's. As expected I have no mana left to do any thing else.

The guide mentions that this will be the case until we pick up all of the mana nodes on the tree.

But when looking at the tree, all I see are mana regen nodes left to take from this point. I don't see any mana reserve reduction nodes, or mana skill reductions nodes that are allocated on the tree.

Am I missing something obvious that would allow a small pool of mana left over once I get further in the tree? I have only 9 mana left right now. I don't have enough to even shield charge.

Should I shut off one of the three mana reserves (TC, Enfeeble or Flesh and Stone) until I can figure out what I am doing wrong?
