Remove the "clown"/"carnival" MTX, not put them on sale
Clowns have become a staple of horror so I can see why GGG would have included them in some way.

Nah, dark and gritty is a thing of the past.
This is what we get in PoE2 !

" Pretty much this. MTXs that have absolutely no impact on the game is in no direct violation of GGG wanting a dark and gritty ARPG. Let's argue this again when GGG implements a killer carnival level in the game somewhere that isn't during Halloween. If you don't like the clown skins, don't buy them. If you don't want players with clown skins joining your party, don't invite them. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Jun 13, 2020, 5:25:41 PM

"Don't buy them" and "Don't invite them" is not a solution. The fact that they went against their own manifesto is what just makes no sense, and that's the whole point of the thread.
If they change their manifesto and game description, which is official if it's found on this very website, then hey - let the clown fiesta continue. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

" They didn't though, that's the thing, your claim is false. The game is dark and gritty. Hell, I haven't played this dark a game since D2. The story, the characters, their backgrounds, not exactly something you'd want to discuss over a family dinner. MTX is actually what it is, a skin, nothing more. Completely optional non-content that doesn't directly affect the game, its story, characters, their background or even the local scenery if you so choose. It's great that you have an opinion, but like always, you wish to speak it out as fact. Do as you wish, but keep it an opinion, otherwise it becomes disinformation. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |

" Yeah, and walking into a town zone filled with clowns sure feels dark and gritty. It does affect the immersion and the perception of the game. Your arguments are completely and utterly invalid. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

This thread is kind of a stretch. Especially in a primarily single player game. I also don't think that everyone is walking in towns filled to the brim with players using the clown style mtx. Personally have rarely seen anyone using them, except myself.

" I walk into a mall almost every day filled with people wearing different outfits, I don't go enforcing my personal preference on them and you'd probably agree, yet here you are doing exactly that and saying it's cool. You're allowed not to like it, mate, nobody is denying you your opinion, but it's just an opinion. If you really can't stand the optional outfits people like that they've purchased with their own money to feature in their own game, then you're welcome to close your eyes, create a private league or quit all together. I don't personally like the clown skins either, but it sold, just like the Madcap boxes did (those even broke records iirc). So people out there are enjoying these optional outfits, let them. Or, to put it more bluntly: Who exactly do you think you are when you tell others what to wear in towns? Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |

I dunno man those clowns looks dark and brutal to me even if they are wearing bright colored outfits, they creep me out. They are not funny fun clowns they are killer butcher demented clowns.
I particularly didn't like this mystery box not because I felt it didn't fit Wreaclast, but I'm afraid I'd have nightmares with them. Filthy Casual Scrub.
