Probably they are moving to Dots to try to kill players that one-shot entire map. I expect an increase in dot damages and new sources of dot damage like lightning dot.

also unclear how much armor you'd need to have just to overcome the -5% max res

Seems like lighting all over again in this league :/

The re brands looks good i must say, ill probably try those, i loved the new uniques, the core of the league seems... i don't have the word to describe but its like we've seen it before, i assume its hard to come up with new ideas each new league and mechanics is something truly hard to manipulate with all this cluster of stuff, wish to see if POE2 will be cleaned and stripped and we will launch a new journey with it,
underpowered claw prolly it's use is as statstick.

What are you talking about lol? There are multiple melee builds that clear on par or better than spell builds. Pure phys is great at the moment? Impale is a mechanic after all.

The mechanics for 'hits' have largely remained unchanged since the beginnings of PoE (with only subtle changes made over the years), it's not a new thing but over time GGG have made sure they are more clear in their wording for when/how a particular item or passive interacts with the hit mechanic.

Supreme Ostentation may as well be renamed the 'Garb of the Ephemeral Enabler' keystone. Cos that's probably the only item it'll be used for (Mjolner and Cospri's Malice aren't that hard to support - certainly not to be worth this level of downside to equip easier). Which leads to the question - Is Garb of the Ephemeral being rebalanced? Will we now be able to rely on it more?
